The transparent music player
When it comes to futuristic concepts of all sorts, people tend to become a little bit skeptical, even if they are fully aware of the fact that almost everything is possible in the era of ground-breaking technologies. It seems that all the ideas that cross people’s mind are to become reality, regardless of the general restraint of the society.

Maybe designers are entitled to believe that everything is possible, as I said earlier, because they possess the means for something like this to happen. And the most important of them all is undoubtedly based on knowledge and information.
This is why Mac Funamizu, a Tokyo-based designer, well known for his futuristic concepts, such as the Lupa and the double layered transparent screen, wouldn’t think the following concept device to be the craziest thing on earth. Not only because we’re talking about his creation and he should be the first to believe in his work, but also because he knows that in the near future people will have the chance to use such devices.

This is way too… futuristic, if you ask me, and it would take years for it to materialize. Not to mention the fact that the human mind will most certainly need some time in order to get accustomed to this new design. So, if you’re the type of person who thinks that all is not gold that glitters, then maybe you should at least give this concept some credit, because it might be amusing to see the future shape of the things that people use in the present on a regular basis.

This is a transparent music player that you can wear wrapped around your wrist, just like a regular watch, but if you get bored easily, you can always change the colors/patterns and display your favorite photography. In addition, the player can be connected to earphones that are designed to change “your ears into a concert hallâ€. Oh, and did I tell you about the integrated microphone that is able to detect your voice and humming and searches the song you want to listen to and about the built-in sensor which is able to detect your heartbeat?

Ok, maybe it’s too much, but come on! Doesn’t this transparent music player look fantastic?
