The Ring-Cellphone

I am already getting used to the fact that there is a strongly emphasized sense of fashion infused to the modern technology nowadays. The human imagination has no boundaries whatsoever. However, is still surprising to find out the latest concept devices different inventors come up with.

Yes, there are tons of daily concepts, more or less inspired, but just a few of them are the proof of the future of cellphones and the way they are developing. The ring-cellphone is another idea of the designer Tao Ma, who also designed the Bracelet Phone and the Quartz Tele Concept and who won in 2004 the Sony Ericsson Mobile Phone Design Competition. The contest was open to participants from universities and colleges in China, the world’s fastest growing mobile phone market.

The ring-cellphone is a unique combination of simplicity and elegance and it combines common functions of making or receiving a call. When you want to answer the phone, the only thing you should do is to hold the ring close to your ear and draw the microphone as you use the handset. The ring-cellphone is very cool to use and it’s the perfect expression of the most advanced communication ideas. The device is original and you couldn’t ask for more, as it has a round screen, simple operation and easy communication method.

Now, I don’t really know whether such a device would draw people’s attention because of its technical specifications or just because is another high fashion must-have. However, one thing is fore sure: you don’t see designs like this every day.
