Apple finally released the iPod Touch 2G PMP. I’m no fan of iPods and I can’t help noticing that the new version of the PMP doesn’t bring many new features and improvements. Sure, it’s shiny, curvy and all that, but it works pretty much the same… yeah, you get to play games and the Genius feature makes cool playlists with similar genre music. Just great! How about an improved resolution display, at least? Maybe next year, and this is where you realize that iPod Touch 2G might not be the best PMP out there. Want the best PMP? Is that a pair of sunglasses I see? Yes, Thanko are known to come up with weird stuff, but this time it seems the design is quite useful. You get the usual UV protection against the sun and when you need to rest for a bit, hit the play button and watch a movie. According to Ubergizmo, the Thanko All-in-one PMP includes the following features:

• MP3/WMV audio file support
• MP4/MPG/AVI (Divx3/4/5&xVid)/ASF video file support
• miniSD memory card slot
• USB 2.0 connectivity
• Four EQ presets - Rock, Classic, Normal and Bass

The sporty sunglasses will give you the impression of sitting in front of a 50" display, although the maximum resolution is set to 432 x 240. The PMP is already available for 270 Euros.
