Great news for all retro camera collectors out there. Direct Source Marketing revives the once renowned Rolleiflex professional camera series with the MiniDigi AF 5.0, a three-inch high, fully functional digital replica of the original and classic twin reflex camera.

The improved MiniDigi AF (auto focus) 5.0 has been given some significant performance upgrades. It now integrates a 5MP image sensor, auto focus (between 10CM and infinity) and a clear 1.1 inch TFT screen, which allows for quick previewing and reviewing of your best snapshots. Surprisingly enough, the LCD is placed at the top of the camera, not on the back as we were accustomed with the usual compact cameras.

As a retro-inspired gadget, the MiniDigi 5.0 includes all sorts of unique features that would bring back old memories to those who had the honor of dealing with the original Rolleiflex cameras. For example you can find a hand crank, which, instead of advancing the film (remember it’s a digital camera), prepares the camera for the next shot. Another unique feature is the classic pop-up hood and viewfinder. The hood is supposed to block all the stray light that would give you problems in sunny environments. You can also choose between a red and black colour for this device.

Other modern day digital features include a Mini SD memory slot with SD card adapter, white balance adjustments and fast shutter speeds.

It is only available through specialty retailer and it is expected to cost $399 MSRP.
