Old iPod Shuffle – dead and buried for good

Here’s a piece of excellent news for those who are into iPods more than anything else in this life. It seems that Apple has just released – without so much of a fuss whatsoever – a brand new iPod Shuffle, which immitates the design of a pack of gum. Today is the big day, guys, when “the world’s smallest music player at nearly half of the size of the previous model and the first music player that talks to you” has been brought in the spotlight.

Now, when it comes to features, the new iPod Shuffle comes with the following list: 4GB of songs (almost 1,000 tracks), the ground-breaking VoiceOver feature that gives the user the chance to speak the song titles, artists and playlist names, the controls are conveniently placed on the earphone cord, which makes the iPod Shuffle easier to use (you can play your song, pause, adjust volume, you can even switch playlists), a beautiful aluminum design, an integrated clip made of stainless steel so you can wear it the way you like most.

The iPod Shuffle is the device that could easily turn into your perfect companion, as it speaks to you. It says words of wisdom: the name of the song and artist, or even the status information (the battery life, for example) in a wide variety of languages: English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Czech, Greek, Mandarin Chinese, Polish, Swedish and Turkish.

Available in two color versions, silver and black, the new iPod Shuffle provides up to 10 hours of battery life., being compatible with Mac with a USB 2.0 port, Mac OS X v10.4.11 or later and iTunes 8.1 or later, or a Windows PC with USB 2.0 port and Windows Vista, Windows XP Home or Professional (the Service Pack 3) or later and iTunes 8.1.

The new device is able to make the old iPod Shuffle be well forgotten and it costs only $79 through the Apple Store ( www.apple.com), Apple’s retail stores and other authorized retailers.
