OCZ Sabre isn’t a standard gaming keboard

If you have a good memory, then you probably know by now the fact that there was a very expensive keyboard that showed its face sometime in the past, having a price that was way over anyone’s imagination and willigness to pay. It was the Art Lebedev’s OLED keyboard, a peripheral that regular people do not afford.

But, if you liked that keyboard, which wasn’t a standard gaming keyboard, then there’s no doubt about the fact that you will be happy to know that there’s a similar keyboard that has just appeared in the spotlight, being similar to the Art Lebedev device.

The main difference between the two keyboards is the price. Another one is represented by the list of features, which, in this case, if less impressive. The numeric keys are the only ones to come with the OLED capability. The rest of the keys, on the other hand, are not designed to display color.

In order to compensate this lacks, OCZ has come up with something else: a layered shortcut system, which is quite clever, and a blue LED sidelighting. Besides these features, there aren’t many features available at the moment. However, we know for sure that the Sabre will be “affordable”. Or at least this is what OCZ said. Let’s just hope that “affordable” isn’t a price that is cheaper than Optimus’s price, which is $1600. Because any price is cheaper, even $1000, which doesn’t make it… well… affordable.
