My ring is sealed

Your best friend shares with you one of his deepest secrets of them all and trusts you to keep it no matter what. He feels liberated, while you must now live with the burden of this secret – which not only must you keep for yourself, but you also have to remember it in case of emergency.
It’s ok with you. After all, it isn’t the first time when something like this happens. But what should you do? Where should you keep the information?
The Encoder Rings might be the perfect solution to your problem. The project is based on the investigation concerning how to store precious or personal digital information. The rings are decorated with tiny blobs and holes that represent letters in the binary code. Just imagine! You’re in the possession of something very important and you have the chance to wear that certain “something†on your finger, not worrying about the fact that a person would figure out what is there. Still, be careful with those who aren’t unfamiliar with the binary code, because you might receive one hell of a surprise!

The Encoder Rings are a concept piece designed by Jonathan Ben-Tovim who thinks that people could have their personal thoughts or secret messages – which must not exceed 64 characters! – translated into the binary code and finally have a ring produced by using rapid-prototyping technology.
Although the designer didn’t reveal what the rings are made of, they look spectacular. You’ll be wearing not only a secret message on your finger, but also the most obvious proof of good taste and preference for fashion mixed with technology; a peculiar piece of jewellery and the most quiet and trustful “friend†ever. What else could you ask for?
