I remember the times when everyone had in the wallet a picture with their dearest ones, as the most sincere proof of love and affection. This is one obsolete way of showing your feelings towards important people in your life. Maybe it wasn’t your dream to carry digital pictures on a keychain, for example, but I don’t think that for a gadget to exist there must be a previous demand.

Digital Foci announced that it will start shipping the new Pocket Album OLED 1.5” (PAO-150) keychain digital photo viewer. The device is meant to help you carry your favorite pictures in the handier place ever – your pocket – and share them anytime, anywhere. Pocket Album OLED 1.5” holds 124 digital photos with its 32MB internal flash memory. This isn’t very much, let’s face it, when Apple, for example, can cram 2GB into the iPod Shuffle. You can choose between scrolling through your pictures manually and running automatic photo slideshow with adjustable slideshow interval and random caption.



The Photo Album OLED 1.5” is provided with a 1,5-inch OLED screen which displays pictures in 128 x 128-pixel resolution and has a high contrast ratio of 1000:1. The cutting edge OLED ( Organic Light-Emitting Diode) technology allows the device to display digital images with higher brightness, better contrast and wider viewing angle than conventional LCDs.

In addition, the keychain features the user-friendly Photo Viewer Software (compatible with Windows Vista/XP/2000, Mac 10.4 & 10.5) which helps you convert images (JPG, TIF, GIF, PNG, BMP) from your computer to Pocket Album OLED. Using the software, you can crop and rotate photos before automatically resizing them for an optimal storage and display on the device.

Pocket Album OLED runs on Lithium-Polymer battery, which can be easily recharged with the included AC adapter or with USB power by connecting it to your computer, and has an approximate 5 hours battery life.

The Pocket Album OLED measures 1,8 x 1,8 x 0,7 inches and weights 1,4 ounces. The device is available in Red, Carbon Fiber and Warm Grey and comes in package with and Easy-clip keychain, USB cable, AC adapter, Resource Disc and Quick Start Guide.
