Maxian E900
Are PMPs getting the attention they deserve these days? If we think of the iPod Touch we might say they do, but there are many other PMPs better than Apple’s devices, which don’t get too much attention because they are made by more obscure manufacturers. Cowon, anyone? Not much… How about Maxian? Say what? Exactly my point. But Maxian E900 turns out to be pretty good.

E900 not only keeps you entertained with its PMP talents, it is also sort of a offline Wikipedia, featuring a built-in dictionary. Moreover, it comes with 60GB of storage space, plus a whole bunch of cool features, including:
• WinCE 5.0 operating system
• 4.3" WVGA display
• Supports AVI, MPG, WMV, ASF, DAT, VOB, MP4(M4V), TS, MKV, OGG, MPEG-1/2, DivX, XviD, H.264, and AC3 and DTS video formats
• Supports MP2, MP3, MP4, WAV, WMA, OGG, ACE, AAC, FLAC, APE, MKA, TTA audio formats
• Records directly in ASF format
• USB connectivity
• SD/MMC memory card slot
There’s a strong possibility that this new model won’t be available at launch time worldwide, so the US will have to wait some more. The Asian manufacturer said nothing about pricing, but rumor has it the E900 could integrate a TV tuner, too.
