Introducing touchscreens into mobile devices the size of the iPhone was a good idea. But what about larger displays? Microsoft has the touch table and the TouchWall concepts but these will be quite expensive. Now, N-trig pops up and presents its touch Technology for bigger screens.

N-trig is represented by the guys who brought DuoSense to the world a while ago, and they’ve just announced that this technology has been updated, featuring full multi-touch capabilities designed for large format displays.
We’re not talking about 50” displays. No, not yet, but the updated DuoSense is capable of working on displays up to 22" in size. T is also able to recognize an unlimited number of simultaneous touch points, letting a whole bunch of people crowd around the display, each working on their own segment. This is especially useful for interactive educational purposes .

Here are some other advantages:
• Handle documents on the computer desktop like you would on a real desk, moving or pushing them aside with your hands
• Make sketches and scribble notes using a pen
• Shuffle photos with both hands
• Play games with multiple players touching the surface simultaneously
