iriver day: the iriver WAVE-HOME device
Haven’t I told you before that CES is the ultimate trade show, an event that companies from all around the world do not afford to miss, as it’s the perfect chance for them to be in the spotlight? You wouldn’t dare to say such a thing after pestering you day and night with the fact that this almighty event seems to be precisely what the doctor ordered, giving the companies the possibility to present their products and to know the competition a little bit better.

Another company which wanted to be present at the Consumer Electronics Show this year is iriver, a Korean manufacturer that tried to take as much advantages as it could from the event and from its participation. Therefore, they “invaded†Las Vegas with a couple of new products, such as iriver Wave, the first phone ever built by this company, and the WAVE-HOME multimedia communications device, which was, from afar, their best offer.
First of all, you can notice the exquisite design which will most surely catch the attention of the target public, consisting of a base station and a wireless handset. The device was conceived as the “ultimate all-in one solution that provides advanced multimedia, web and phone capabilities – a comprehensive communications hub that keeps you totally connected and in control at home, at the office and in your lifeâ€.
The WAVE-HOME device offers all sorts of functions such as Internet access, VoIP, messaging capabilities such as SMS and MMS, widgets, multimedia features (games, music, video, even pictures, due to the integrated camera), FM radio.
The features, on the other hand, include: a 7-inch TFT touchscreen display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, 10 / 100 Base-T Ethernet for broadband internet connection, web browser, internet radio, a 1.3 megapixel CMOS camera, 2.5W stereo speakers and USB 2.0, plus a SD card slot.
