Before finding out he’s really good at taking pictures, my Dad used to collect all sorts of stuff, including vinyl records. I guess he has around 500 records, but he doesn’t get to listen to them that much since we can enjoy mp3s and digital music online. Hey Dad, you could sell them and get good money, but before you do that, I’d say you transfer all those cool tunes on CDs. How exactly? Simple, just use the Ion LP2CD Converter.

We’ve seen that Ion also makes VHS2DVD converter for your old VHS cassettes. In a similar fashion, the LP2CD Converter lets you transfer all your favorite vinyl tracks directly onto CD without the need for any special connection with a computer hindering you. All you have to do is drop a record on the deck and hit the play and record buttons, but don’t forget to feed the converter with a blank CD. Sure, you may be required to tweak things up a bit afterwards by using some sound editing software, just in case the clicks and pops get too annoying. Anyway, you can still transfer the recorded stuff directly to your PC HDD via a USB port.

Here are some more tech specs:

• Belt-drive turntable with premium tonearm and cartridge
• 33 1/3, 45 and 78 RPM
• Built-in audio CD-burner records directly from turntable
• Automatic silence detection with track split
• Records on blank audio CDRs and CDRWs
• USB audio interface (44.1kHz, 16-bit), Mac and PC compatible

This product can be directly bought from Ion’s official site for $399.95.
