Helios Grill
Besides getting a tan on the beach, what would go well with the hot Sun this summer? Well, what else would you do on a sunny day? Maybe going for a BBQ somewhere out of town? In this case, don’t forget to take the new Helios Grill with you.
Looks weird, but at least you won’t be causing that nasty smoke when you use it. That’s right, this grill amplifies the Sun’s rays enough to cook burgers just like the real thing and the only smoke you’ll see is that coming from burnt pieces of meat. Or your hands, if you’re not paying much attention.
The Helios Grill is still in the design stage and it was invented by Sean McGreevy. Another good thing about this grill is that it saves you the time you would usually waste with burning, arranging and rearranging pieces of charcoal. The dish you see in the picture is pointed directly at the Sun to concentrate its rays onto a solar panel, which creates enough energy to heat the metal grill. This way you can cook just as you would on a conventional grill. Apart from reducing the carbon emissions, your burgers and meaty specialties will be tastier and less carbon-impregnated.
