Coolest Wallpaper Ever
Wallpapers or to be more exact computer wallpapers are those images that are used to fill in the computer screen desktop in order to make it more personal. People like to see nice images on their desktops, so they choose different models of wallpapers as backgorund image for their desktops. The term is now widely used by almost all computer users, but it was used in the Microsoft Windows until Windows 7, which uses the term "background" instead. I don't understand why the people from Microsoft did that change, but we all know both terms, so there is no possibility to mistake them. Mac OS X users are more familiar with the term desktop picture and before that computer users used to call it "desktop pattern" - that also because at the beginning the wallpaper was more like a pattern that repeated itself until it filled the screen than a whole image that covers the whole desktop as it is now.
Now you have the possibility to use wallpapers for all the devices that have an operating system and a display like mobile phones, PDAs, iPads and other similar devices. It may seem very easy to choose a certain picture and set it as your desktop, but if you are not using a wallpaper that is especially made in order to have the same size and resolution like your desktop, you will have to adjust it a bit in order to match them. Almost all the wallpapers that you can download from the internet have the same resolution of the different computer desktops: 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x1024 and 1600x1200. However, some people may have widescreen computers or laptops and in this case they will have to use the 4:3 ratio. Common photos may also be used as wallpapers, but again be careful with the resolution because I used a photo of my daughter once and when I changed the resolution to fill the whole desktop, my girl looked like an inflated beach ball.
Of course we are free to use whatever wallpaper we want, the one we think is the coolest wallpaper ever, but only when we are at home because at work we usually use the default wallpapers offered by the operating system in case (Windows or Mac OS or another) or a customized wallpaper with the company's logo on. The latest version of Windows also offers you the possibility to automatically change your wallpaper at an established period of time that you can set- let's say every 30 minutes. You can choose to have a random display of different images or to have them displayed in a certain order. I did that by using a folder with family photos and it worked perfectly fine and it was really personalized, right?
Any way the wallpapers that you can find on the internet have various themes, for example landscapes, animals, actors, sport, cars, space and also artistic pictures.
