Art is not just that part of our life that makes us feel surrounded by beauty; it is also the part of our personalities that comes from our imagination and creativeness. And all of us can be creative and imaginative and make something beautiful with a little bit of help, too. Nowadays, there are all sorts of kits for crafts on the market, and all we need to do is to buy them and then be creative.

I will not deal here with the kits for craft, but with the three most beautiful crafts – in my opinion – that can become very original. One of the first crafts and quite old, let’s say, is the embroidery. Your grandmother used to do it and her mother as well. Why not you, too? All you need is a pencil, if you are a beginner, your favourite cloth or why not sheet or shirt, a little bit of patience and imagination. And of course, needle and thread. No matter what colour you want. Slowly with the pencil make a drawing – whatever drawing you want – on the desired piece of cloth and then begin sewing, nice and easy, as colourful as you want, until it comes to an end. What a piece of work you have done here! I bet your little girl would like an embroidered bunny on her skirt and your little boy a nice car on his T-shirt!



Not into needle and thread kind of person? More into paper? You know to origami, but you would like to try something different? Try some Quilling!  You have, in your toolkit, everything that you need: paper cut into the desired size and the quilling instrument, to help you roll the paper better. When you have your round shape in front of you, begin to shape it. Oval, rhomb-shaped, tear-shaped, use your imagination. You have more shapes than one or two? It’s better, because now you can do others from them: an animal, a flower or a butterfly, or why not a beautiful landscape on a card for your best friend? Or maybe a nice picture of your pet, ready to be hung on the wall.



Too much of a headache for you? Too much time spent on doing this? Would you like to create something useful, maybe a jewelry, but not spending all of your free time on that? Could be more expensive to buy, but try a special microwave, take the glass kit you need and go working! Create your desired design, shape and colours, put it into the microwave, and then while cooling down, go for a walk with your friends. When you come home, you will find your glass jewelry ready to put on a lace or a chain and then to be worn or gifted to your friends. Are these cool crafts for you? Are these new to you?
