Wallpapers or to be more exact computer wallpapers are those images that are used to fill in the computer screen desktop in order to make it more personal. People like to see nice images on their desktops, so they choose different models of wallpapers as backgorund image for their desktops. The term is now widely used by almost all computer users, but it was used in the Microsoft Windows until Windows 7, which uses the term “background” instead. I don’t understand why the people from Microsoft did that change, but we all know both terms, so there is no possibility to mistake them. Mac OS X users are more familiar with the term desktop picture and before that computer users used to call it “desktop pattern” – that also because at the beginning the wallpaper was more like a pattern that repeated itself until it filled the screen than a whole image that covers the whole desktop as it is now.

Now you have the possibility to use wallpapers for all the devices that have an operating system and a display like mobile phones, PDAs, iPads and other similar devices. It may seem very easy to choose a certain picture and set it as your desktop, but if you are not using a wallpaper that is especially made in order to have the same size and resolution like your desktop, you will have to adjust it a bit in order to match them. Almost all the wallpapers that you can download from the internet have the same resolution of the different computer desktops: 800×600, 1024×768, 1280×1024 and 1600×1200. However, some people may have widescreen computers or laptops and in this case they will have to use the 4:3 ratio. Common photos may also be used as wallpapers, but again be careful with the resolution because I used a photo of my daughter once and when I changed the resolution to fill the whole desktop, my girl looked like an inflated beach ball.
Of course we are free to use whatever wallpaper we want, the one we think is the coolest wallpaper ever, but only when we are at home because at work we usually use the default wallpapers offered by the operating system in case (Windows or Mac OS or another) or a customized wallpaper with the company’s logo on. The latest version of Windows also offers you the possibility to automatically change your wallpaper at an established period of time that you can set- let’s say every 30 minutes. You can choose to have a random display of different images or to have them displayed in a certain order. I did that by using a folder with family photos and it worked perfectly fine and it was really personalized, right?
Any way the wallpapers that you can find on the internet have various themes, for example landscapes, animals, actors, sport, cars, space and also artistic pictures. I guess the coolest wallpaper ever is the one every person likes best. People are different, both as mentality and also as looks. They like different things and they have different tastes, so they want to imprint their taste and personality on things around them, to make their belongings personal and personalized. So you can guess what kind of person lives in a room by simply looking at the things in that room, at the way in which things are arranged and the combination of colors and styles. That is why we have the option to make the image shown by our computers more personal. that is why we can choose a certain wallpaper that we like to see when we turn on the computer. This wallpaper is the image that will appear on your computer desktop either by default from your operating system or if you choose it from your files. If you don’t have a certain photo or file that you want to use as your desktop image, you can always download lots of wallpapers from many web sites that offer them for free or for a certain fee. They are divided in many categories, for example wallpapers with animals, landscapes, buildings, children, cars, cities, Disney characters and a lot others.

<p>And because we are different and like different things, like I said, there is no such thing as the<strong> coolest wallpaper</strong> for everybody, but different models of cool wallpapers where you can choose the<strong> coolest wallpaper</strong> for you. For example the coolest wallpaper in my opinion is a picture of Mars, while my husband thinks the best one is a picture of a stylized Ferrari and my daughter is crazy about a Hanna Montana wallpaper. However, there are certainly more than one person wanting the same wallpaper model and according to the general demand for certain models, now you can find a wide offer of coolest wallpapers for all tastes.

Then right click on the desktop and select desktop background , then browse your files until you find the right wallpaper and set it as you image that will be shown on the desktop , that is your wallpaper.You can change it from time to time if you get bored of a single image over and over again or you can choose to have more than one wallpaper , that is view them in slideshow. Windows 7 gives you this possibility and changes the image on your desktop at certain intervals of time. I really like it.
