Cheap flash drive to put on your wrist

Wednesday, January 14th, 2009 |

People manifest their pretensions concerning right about everything they need, without discrimination. They’re entitled to, if you think about it, as we’re talking about things they are going to use on a regular basis. But sometimes they tend to exaggerate, becoming more inspirational then they should when it comes to devices that, by their nature, should be simple and practical. Still, it seems that pragmatism isn’t the keyword when it comes to people nowadays, as they would rather have sophisticated gadgets with less functionality instead of minimalist ones that help them do their work.

In the given context, the new Flash Drive Band isn’t aimed at people who want to be all the fashion, but to those who aren’t interested in the latest trends. So, if diamond-encrusted or Swarovski crystal-covered gadgets are not what you’re looking for, then this one might be for you. It’s a simple black Flash Drive Band that can be worn as a bracelet, suitable to both men and women. Its greatest advantage, if you ask me, is the fact that wearing your flash drive will keep you from ever losing it, no matter how hard you try. And if you’re the type of guy that tends to lose everything, then you will never lose your flash drive again!

A disadvantage, on the other hand, consists of the storage space, which is a little bit rudimentary and disappointing, of just 512 MB. So, if the only purpose for you to use such a device refers to your daily projects, that don’t require too much space, then this cheap flash drive is what you need. Yeah, ok, I agree, it’s nice to have the possibility to store all the files that you want and never thinking about their “dimension”, but that’s the way it is.

This soft band, made of black silicone, is very easy to put on, but it’s also very easy to take off. In addition, the flash drive is compatible with Windows 98 and Mac OS 9.0, or their newer versions. To counterbalance the lack of more MB, this is a cheap flash drive that costs only $29.95.

Funny USB gadgets for Beetle obsessed

Monday, January 5th, 2009 |

People are obsessed with all sorts of material things that they are dreaming about during a lifetime, hoping from the bottom of their hearts that someday they will make their dreams come true, even if they know that this is almost impossible. But you know what they say: hope dies last. So why not let people dream, if this is what helps them have an optimistic attitude?

Most of the times, they tend to convert expensive products into obsessions, precisely because they’re unaffordable. This is what happens, for example, with those who have always hoped to have their own Beetle in the garage, a Volkswagen branded economy car produced by the German manufacturer.

For those who feel like they won’t live the day when they’ll be able to purchase a Beetle, there are all sorts of Beetle themed products on the market, which are meant to give comfort to their broken hearts. I’m sure you all know someone who is mad about these cars and who would love an accessory like a Beetle USB 4-port hub.

So, for the Beetle obsessed, this is nothing but another accessory inspired by these cute Volkswagen cars. It’s true that this USB hub is a copy of the newer versions of the German vehicle, but I’m sure that you won’t be disappointed with it, even if you prefer the classic ones.

The Beetle Car USB 4-port hub is equipped with 4 ports where you can plug your USB devices into. The ports are placed, as you can easily see in the picture above, in the wheels, and when you plug a USB gadget into the device, LED head lights are immediately lighting up. In addition, you can also keep your name cards or the cell phone right on the stand of the Beetle.

Measuring 148 x 82 x 60 millimeters and weighing 95 grams, the USB 4-port hub is available in two colors: red and white. The package includes the Beetle Car USB 4-port Hub and the USB cable and can be purchased for only $12.50, from Gadget4all.com.

The wheel-shaped USB 4 Port Hub

Friday, January 2nd, 2009 |

If you’re acquainted with devices like USB hubs, then you must know that they are helpful devices that allow you to connect USB devices to a single USB port which is placed either on the host computer or on another hub.

Similar to the USB memory sticks, which I’m sure you also know very well about, the USB hubs are commercialized in various shapes, maybe because people are satisfied more with gadgets that are well shaped. After all, let’s be honest, we’re superficial enough to pay attention to the “silhouette” of things that we use on regular basis more than to their features and the functionality itself.

And if there are two many USB gadgets surrounding you, then you might need a brand new USB hub, which is useful even when you don’t want to waste your time at the back of your personal computer where to find an available USB port to plug your numerous devices into.

So, if you need a solution to such a problem, then the tiny Pocket 4 USB 2.0 hub might be what you are looking for. The data transfer rate is up to 480 Mbps and has a LED power indicator.

The Brass Cross USB Drive

Monday, December 22nd, 2008 |

There are quite a few things that people should never turn into derision and religion is one of those things. I really don’t see the use of focusing on delicate subjects and then converting them into bad jokes. But maybe it’s just me and maybe people don’t take it very serious and they would never think that this Brass Cross USB Drive is some sort of a blasphemy, as I’ve been tempted to consider it.

More than that, I’m sure that some of you would find it a good looking gift for your best friends. It’s just that this weird device is aimed at Christians and at Christians only, because the ancient symbol of the humanity is used in this religion as a fundamental sign.

Still, it’s a good thing that the USB drive isn’t entirely covered with all sorts of diamonds and other bright and shiny little precious stones. The designers decided to adorn this piece of technology with just a couple of crystals and to give it an antique brass look.

<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->

The main advantage of the Brass Cross USB Flash Drive is that, compared to any other similar devices that have small amounts of storage, this one comes with 8 GB, which is pretty impressive. In this given context, you will have to deal with the bad looks of this wearable Cross and have it hang around your neck with the adequate pride. This means you will have to make up your mind between looks and functionality.

The Brass Cross USB Flash Drive works with Windows, Mac and Linux and it’s compatible with systems like Windows 98SE / Me / 2000 / XP / Vista, Mac OS 10.x or future versions, Linux 2.4.2 or newer. Supporting a wide variety of files formats that can be stored on the Cross, the chain has a universal size that is of 28 inches.

The Brass Cross USB Drive is being sold for approximately $22 on Chinavision.com.
