Apple has come out with the new iPad Mini 2 with retinal display on November 12 with actually no big show. This second generation iPad from the mini lineage is the latest launcher by the Cupertino rooted company against all its rivals.
Features and appearance
The new baby is a bit heavier than its brothers but that is barely noticeable. The most striking thing is the display of 7.9 inch screen, so that resolution available on 9 inch of iPad Air is been clubbed down to 7.9 inch. Thus there is finer details and has truly great performance. There is substantial and noticeable improvement in the sharpness and crispness in the quality of the picture. The colors look pleasing and add to amplifying the beauty of the display. Talking about the display the newbie is just as its ancestor just the new back comes with gray finish. Though it is a bit increased in size but still it easily fits into one’s hand and is easy to operate.
The iPad comes with same processor and RAM. So performance wise the earlier and this one is almost on the same lines. It provides sound isolation doing good to the experience in voice calls. The Apple’s latest gadget shouts of better WiFi connectivity and very professional in processing any task that you shoot at it.
The camera though of just acceptable resolution is still not a bad show and with Apple’s multi-frame recombination and some improvements here and there gives satisfactory clicks even in not so favorable light situations.
Speaking about the battery they have tried to upgrade the capacity from the earlier version but it is not so impressive though. But it is far better than Google’s brand Nexus for sure and shows remarkable performance even when used extensively.
iOS 7 nothing too great to speak about it is still the latest reply to the rival Android coming out with KitKat v4.4. So much so good is all to say.
- OS iOS 7.0.4 with chipset A7 , dual-core 1.3 GHz processor

Price and availability

The new iPad mini 2 is a compact version of iPad Air with almost the same features. Expensive really if you would check with the value for money but if you do not mind the price tag and go with the brand value then this is a really good choice for you. Those who do not use it casually as an iPad but more like a phone should be ready to accept the disappointments you might come across.

Firstly it was just cell phones then we got smarter phones and now there are smart watches!!This is definitely getting cellphones as a apparel to be worn and flaunted around. Now gone are the days when you missed an important call or message just because you could not hear the tone. Also the frantic hassle to dig the phone out from a bag or handbag just as you wish it goes on ringing. Here comes the new era of wearable phones aptly called The SmartWatch
The vision first sparked by Motorola ,a subsidiary of Google last year. They have been working of a possible blend of smartphone features with health related features to create a smartwatch capable of “gaze detection” mechanism along with dual touch screen. They have even filed a patent for the same smartwatch.
However the first to launch before them this new wonder baby with great grandeur is no one else but the South Korean Electronics Giant Samsung with Samsung Galaxy Gear launched just few weeks back. However this watch is only synced with their Note 3 but talks of expanding it to the other models is in process.
Google has yet to announce their date for the launch of their smartwatch which is reportedly been christened as “Gem” right now are yet toying with a suitable name but going by the news flowing around it would be by the end of this month. Reports also say that new KitKat version of android would also be launched following heels. The rumored shape to be a big round or complete square with the watch being operated by Android OS. The features that Google is working on is longer battery life that works for four days and having assimilation of many apps on it along with normal features like answering calls, checking mails, listening music etc.
Not far behind is Sony in this race. Having already launched their SmartWatch earlier they are coming out with SmartWatch 2 which is in lines with Galaxy Gear. The only major difference being it is compatible with a lot of models unlike that of Samsung. Also its price range lesser than Galaxy Gear is worth noticing.Boasting of world’s first android compatible smartwatch with one-touch NFC is what makes Sony’s SmartWatch series.
Apple is also working with strong adherence on coming up with a iWatch which eill be competing the Google’s Glasses. Having all the features present in their iPhone this iWatch will definately be the big venture after their phenominal success of iPad and iPod. They are having a lot of their product designers working on the look and make of the watch. All we can do is just wait n watch!!

Kudos to Samsung for coming up with a new smartphone model so fast that its becoming difficult to actually keep tab. They actually love experimenting with everything and anything to be the best in the market. The latest being Samsung Galaxy Round announced recently with full galore. Initially launched in South Korea this month the new Galaxy baby will be flooding the rest of the market worldwide soon. Coupled features at par with Note 3 and the sassier look its better to expect the price bracket to be one like the top group categories.
Claiming to be the world’s first (actually) curved display smartphone Samsung Round
looks like semi curved smile to fit the contours of a person’s face. The idea would definitely make you smile but behold its just a slight curve. Already skilled with the same in Nexus S this has a slightly arced glass topper of the screen. Not actual curved phone to be noted.
With most of the specifications similar to Note 3 the additional feature that if you tilt the phone on its peripherals it will display the date, time, missed call, and battery information. Another feature boasted by the S. Korean Electronic Giant is that of creating symphony interface in music on cradling it though very less is known about this.
-13-megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, plus a 2-megapixel camera up front
-2.3GHz MSM 8974 quad-core processor, 32GB of internal storage, 3GB RAM expandable up-to-64GB
-Andriod OS V4.3 Jelly Bean
-Right now available only in Brown color but a wide spectrum to be launched soon
Samsung is famous for experimenting with its design and features the latest inclusion of this. Though this is only curved shaped display its actually not flexible. There have been curved displays in Motorola since 10 years then what does Round have to claim the bet?
Well its the touch sensitive screen with all the features of the smartphone giving it the extra edge. However it makes no sense what actual use does this change in shape would have; fit snugly into the back-pocket or hug the curve of the face well. Anyhow I do not really vouch for placing cellphone in the back-pocket, who enjoys sitting over the phone? Whatever may be the reason for me the only reason for the design would be to lure buyers.
But this has definitely opened the arenas for flexible and strong enough screens that would crack or break is a positive lookout from this. As per now choosing Round would be a little debatable topic lest you wish to flash something not anybody would own.
