Federico Fellini is one of the most known film directors ever, that distinguished himself by blending fantasy and baroque images. It is considered as one of the most influential and widely revered film makers of the 20th century, as well as the best Italian film director. During his almost 50 years of activity, he received an impressive number of distinctions, awards and appreciations, among the most important Oscar nominees and awards. Movies such as “8 and a half”, “Casanova” or “La dolce vita” received various Oscar distinctions and were highly appreciated by the critics and the public worldwide.

Highly appreciated worldwide, in 1974 Fellini received the 27th Cannes Film Festival Lifetime Achievement Award along with French director Rene Clair followed by the 1990’s Japan Arts Association’s Praemium Imperiale and 1993’s Oscar for his Lifetime Achievement. His movies remain unequaled in many ways and the stories he told and expressed via the art of films are classic love stories, as well as life stories.

The chaotic life of the characters is deliberately disjointed through frames in order to dramatize even more the pecuniar existence of humans themselves and the frugality of human feelings. Made in 1969, Fellini’s Satyricon is a rather odd movie that follows the destinies of two friends as they kidnap a Roman Goddess from her temple; after the God dies, the main characters are punished with a case of impotence. The full picture is in between sad, funny and scary, as the title leads us to old Greek dramas played in a very large theater. Certainly an odd movie, but one of a reference in the director’s portfolio.
8 1/2 is another masterpiece semi autobiographical movie. It is filled with wonderful sets and decors, as well as with equally beautiful women and it mainly tells the story of a director stuck in the world of drama, demands and personal aches.

Philippines is one of the coolest places where you can spend your vacation. The weather is very nice, beaches are cool, not to mention the warm locals and beautiful girls. And while in Philippines, you definitely should try the Manila area. It has wonderful restaurants, traditional meals and is rich in bars and clubs. So, if you feel like partying in high style and class, you should head off to Embassy Cuisine, the best super club in the whole country. The music played is mainly trance and house and on Wednesdays it is pure hip hop and R’n'B. But if you want to have an exquisite time and be seen, you should go to the Embassy Super Club. Its VIP rooms and hang outs are definitely the place to be seen in and the staff is quite pleasant too, everything to make you have one hell of a night! Not to mention the models and the celebs you will most certainly meet…
Alchemy is also one of the best partying places, which is ready to race the Embassy. It is a must-see bar with its challenging and entertaining music, differently played on each of the three floors. So, imagine how quite big it is. It is only the three floor European Style Club. The club also features five bars and two large dance floors, so there is plenty of room for everybody to move. One of the rules to enter this Super Club is to dress in style and class, so expect only A-list and celebs around here, near Valle Verde. Ascened is also a place to be if you are heading or, already in Manila. It is defined as a highly-energetic place but which also runs for the stylish restaurant or cocktail lounge names. The bar features many state-of-art videos and audio systems for a better and more eclectic atmosphere. Its main purpose is to become the best place where the 3 Ds meet: drink, dine and dance. As stated by others, “Ascend is the contemporary metropolitan gem that brings a whole new meaning to entertainment and excitement in the urban area.”
If you prefer locals with a younger crowd, the Basement is the place to be. Usually crowded by high school kids, the place keeps the atmosphere cool through House music beets. The Basement can be an attractive and appeal zone due to the proximity to many establishments and to the call center industry.

Ah… long hot summer nights. The chill, the breeze, the waves and the summer clothes, what can you possibly want more?
