We are always trying to be different in a specific way, even if we talk about hobbies, sports, entertainment, clothes or workplace. We are hunting gadgets everywhere and we all want to be out of the box in front of “the others”. It all becomes clear, ther is usually the normal group of people, the usual ones, and the special ones, who live in gadgets world, and always seek for novelties.I like gadgets because they bring a little more excitment, more than usual objects, they bring a little bit more adrenaline in the daily routine.
In men’s world the competition is as big as in the women’s, and the situations when a guy sees another guy with the same mobile phone or a guy which has a cooler mp3 player. In this gagdet world, you can have the childhood feelings you once had, and because of the age or the social constrictions you can’t bring them back.
So here I bring some gadgets for men, which I liked very much, and I think that most of the men will like them, and they are perfect also as gifts.
For those men who don’t like simple boring earphones, I found these Blinky Blink earphones, which will make you stand out from the crowd. When you have a set of earphones which have LED lights that shine and blink, be sure that you will be such an interesting person, different from the others. As a funny fact, you can be easily found at night, in the dark, and actually I think that they are better than the reflectors of your bike. Bluetooth revolutioned electronics’ industry, almost 10 years ago, making transfers much easier to handle and facilitating the communication between devices. The range of applications which use Bluetooth is quite large and I liked very much how Bluetooth put a fingerprint on the international gadget market. I selected some Bluetooth gadgets and I would like to shortly describe them here. Who knows? Maybe you need them, or you are just a gadget fan looking for news in this field!

I liked very much a watch, which is water-resistant and which works together with your handset and it vibrates each time you get a new message or call. This allows you to control your music on your mobile devices too, but this watch isn’t compatible with a lot of Bluetooth phones, only with those which support A2DP technology. The Bluetooth wave has a 20 feet range and the battery lasts for five days. The watch keeps time excellent even when the Bluetooth is shut down.
The Virtual Keyboard has been invented! It is available through a portable infrared device in combination with laser technology, and it can be projected on any surface. As you type on the projection, it analyzes what are you typing and it can do this by receiving the coordinates of the location of the key you touch. This keyboard comes with Palm adapters, and it can be connected to PocketPC, USB devices and Serial devices too. It has also a power cable, to charge the device. You can set up the sensitivity of the fingertips and modify the strength of the laser signal. I think that this is a very futuristic product and finally I can see how we are moving toward a more virtual-based products society.
The digital frame is no longer a new gadget, a new invention, but the normal version of digital frames, usually needed some classic file transfer methods. Either you had to use USB cable, or USB stick or a memory card, it was quite uncomfortable. Now you have the oportunity to send your pictures directly to the digital frame, through the air, or better said, by Bluetooth. The frame’s LCD can display images with resolutions up to 48 Megapixels, and you can change the slide show transition effects. It also has a clock, which can be displayed on the screen, and a calendar.
Lego Mindstorms NXT robot kit is the Bluetooth accessory which shows the great unlimited potential of this wireless technology. It provides lots of fun, and this Lego Robot is a group of gears, cams and electronic parts which can be put together and create robots responding to programs sent via Bluetooth.The robot has a brain, the NXT controller box, a 32 bit ARM processor, with 512 KB of memory. It also has a small screen, and of course the Bluetooth module. The producer says that it shouldn’t take your more than 30 minutes, but I think that 2 hours is ok for the first robot. After it is all done, you can tell it through wireless how to move, make noises, and pick objects with his claw. It can be programmed using the software on your computer. There is a window where you can drag the activities, and also customize the action. The instructions are sent to the robot in no more than few seconds up to 25 feet away.
You can observe that the electronics industry’s horizons are continously enlarged by Bluetooth technology and very often more and more gadgets are released, and there is nothing to wonder that they are based on this connectivity method, Bluetooth.

There are many interesting gadgets in this world, many of them are for geeks, people who are very interested in technology, and who like to have the latest inventions and innovations in their house, making their lives easier. Many of the ideas are interesting, entertaining and very important, useful. I like gadgets and their creators, because they dare to be different and change something in the “normal” perception of the masses.

If you like gadgets and you love to have a pet too, there is a cool gadget which helps you to feed your beloved animal even when you are not at home, or when you leave for a few days the house. There is an automatic pet feeder, with PC camera, which can observe your pet while you are missing. It also has an Internet connection, and you can connect to your camera wherever you are. The remote access is controlled by a mouse click, so it’s very easy to feed your pet from distance.
If you think that you have seen everything, you will be amazed to see the levitating Buddha and the levitating Lamp Shade created by Crealev, a company in The Netherlands. These cool gadgets will leave even the best geek scratching his head in disbelief. Another interesting gadget is The Illuminating Shower Head, from Kzlidea, which changes colors as the water temperature changes. It will change to blue when the water is colder, it will turn purple when the water is normal and at hot water, it will be red. This turns up the mood, coloring the water in the shower head and this is very useful for people who are following a color-therapy, but not only, making better days for everyone.
A great geek gadget, for smokers, is not any filter, or quitting smoking device, but the “E-Cigarette”, which is an alternative “Anti Cigarette Nicotine Replacement Theraphy”, which helps people quit the nasty smoking habit. The E-Cigarette is inhaled and the smoker will exhale smoke and he will get a nicotine fix, but without carcinogenic compounds found in cigarettes. It doesn’t need to be lit and it has a built-in power source. This cigarette has 5 cartridges which are included in the system and you have 400 mouthfuls with tobacco flavor, which reduce gradually the nicotine dose in each cartridge.
If you really want to be comfortable while sleeping, and you want a futuristic sleeping arrangement then you have to buy the bed which levitates 40 cm above the floor, based on a system of magnetic fields. This interesting bed costs only $1.5 million and it is actually the most expensive bed known. It has a simple design and the innovation it brought on the market made of it million people’s dream.
There is an interesting gadget for your iPod: a karaoke kit for your device. This is called iKaraoke kit and it has a microphone to be attached into your iPod and get your groove on. Start singing with your friends and become a star!
