Headphones differ from headset from the fact that they provide a solution to hear the sounds coming from your computer or portable media players while keeping a distance from the device without disturbing the others around, while the latter describes those earbuds used for communication via the cell phone.
Large headphones are perfect for gaming or interactive digital courses, while small earbuds are cool for listening to music on the go.
Sony designs some of the highest-quality headphone models on the market, and one of them is the wired Sony MDR-AS40EX, featuring removable soft ear changeable hangers in 3 sizes to fit any ear. They are some of the best headphones for running and walking on street, while they and provide great sound quality and comfortable silicone earbuds.
The 9-mm driver unit and Sony’s EX headphone technology unit offers wide acoustical range and a deep bass, via a lightweight compact design.
Sony MDR-AS40EX comes with a 60-cm cord for arm-band use and a 60-cm extension cord, while other features include dynamic type, 0.1W capacity, PET diaphragm, 10-23,000 Hz frequency, 100 dB/mW high sensitivity, neodynium magnet, 16 Ohm impedance, OFC single-sided cord type for accurate sound signals, straight stereo mini-plug, and 6 grams weight. Dynamic headphone types, which are also known as moving coil types, use miniature loudspeakers with diaphragms connected to a central voice coil, which moves within a magnetic field generated by permanent magnets, and they are the most popular in the recording industry.
Thanks to the PET diaphragm and neodynium magnet, the headphones deliver excellent sound quality with extended frequency response, with high rigidity for minimum distortion.
Sony MDR-AS40EX is available on the market at $39.99.

As if there weren’t enough players whose denominations start with the letter ‘i’ on the market, the Chinese decided to make yet another Apple clone. This time it’s an iPod Shuffle clone, as its diminutive size points out. It even sounds like an Apple product: the I Sport W18 mp3 player. Right… but this little clone right here brings some key features that Apple omitted from the iPod Shuffle.

<-125x125 Button - right->The player is powered by a 90nm Sigmatel 3710 chip which allows the W18 to provide up to a whole day of music, thumping at a 95dB signal-to-noise ratio quality. The player even includes a small LCD screen, pretty good for timing your morning runs with the built-in stopwatch. It can be easily attached to an arm band so you can run as fast as you like without getting the little thing smashed. However, the earphones could prove to be a bit of a problem.

The I Sport W18 comes in colors such as black, blue, red, yellow, and green, to match your favorite sporty gear. As this is a Chinese product, there details on pricing or availability were somehow omitted from the press release translation, but it is most likely that the player will be available only in the Asian parts.

Tired of all those cellphone watch concepts already? Now, don’t go around thinking that the classic design watches are gradually disappearing from the market. That is not true. The classic watches are here to stay, and to prove that, Japanese timepiece maker FATYO comes along with their 6th’ Aniversary FATIME watch.

Maybe you haven’t heard of FATYO before. Sure, they are well-known only in Japan, and they started out producing some G-shock-like watches 6 years ago. With their new Fatime model, the Japanese company departs from their established sporty design, following in the steps of Bapex for a more specialized look and feel. .This Rolex “Daytona” based design is actually a joint-venture with Zozotown’s Dedue store, especially for FATYO’s 6th anniversary.

Many details have been kept true to the Daytona concept. Moreover, the Japanese maker has come with an array of colors, as the watch face comes in comes in black, green, blue, and yellow. Although it looks professional enough and sure weighs some good ounces, this watch unfortunately does not have diving capabilities. It will deal with some rain water, but you have to remember to get it off your wrist before taking a skinny dip.
The watch is only available in Japan, and if you know a bit of Japanese, you can go to Zozotown’s website and buy it from there.

Remember the times when CD players reigned supreme and nobody knew about MP3s and what they would bring? Today, the CD players have been gradually eclipsed by iPods and the gang of media players out there and people prefer to download music from iTunes and other similar sites. If you want to sell a CD player nowadays, it better have something original… like a cool design, at least. Kind of like this one here:

Although CDs will soon be replaced by memory sticks, memory cards or whatever pocket-sized media manages to store more data, an original CD player design could prove interesting if you plan to make a music devices museum of your own. The CD-T300 Pro will most likely count as an expensive artifact that should remind future generations of how spoiled people can get.
I mean the CD player looks cool and all that with gold plated tube legs, four amplification valves and two remote controls. With it’s shining blue lights, it could even be mistaken for some future music jukebox. It is made of aluminum alloy and weighs a no less than 24lbs. OK, it might appear as a sci-fi device but who’s really interested in buying $12,000 worth of dying technology?

If you thought Sennheiser got all the best headphones in the world, you might want to take a look (and maybe tune your ear) at Ideazon’s Banshee headphones.

The metalized finish sure adds to the artistic impression, but these headphones are practical too, with a dual suspension and an open air design. If you are pretty picky (like I am) when it comes to ear, you’ll be pleased to know that Banshee offers “sweat-less” velour ear cushions, so you can wear these as much as you like… you might as well forget you are wearing them. To further prove they are as comfortable as they can get, the Banshee headphones incorporate an ergonomic design and are light weight so you can game for hours and your ears won’t fall off.
Hey, this is no design contest! Give us some tech specs! Alright, let’s see what we got on sonic stuff. Banshee provides a wide frequency spectrum of 20hz - 20khz. The speakers are 40 mm in diameter, offering a 32 ohms impedance. But the best is still to come: in-line sound controls, gold plated connectors and stereo adaptor. Not to mention you also get a detachable stereo microphone so you can mock your friends when you give it to them good in UT3.
How about that Sennheiser? Well, maybe you got all this stuff, but not at this price! Banshee sets you back only $69.99 .
