Imagine for a moment that you are given the chance to forget about the daily outfit that you have to wear at the office and that, by the way, you don’t love very much. But you don’t have any other choice, so the best you can do is to accept things just like they are. Anyway, imagine that you can go to a place that you have dreamed about for so many years, a beautiful lawn where you can walk on grass in your bare feet. Wouldn’t it be a unique experience? I’d bet it would.

But what would you say if you could do this when having a walk on the sidewalks of the city and not only once a week, but each and every day? The Grass Wheel is a means of conveyance that was designed by a group of students who study at the Dalhousie School of Architecture, called David Gallaugher, Kevin James and Jacob Jebailey.
They came up with a device that was constructed in a very simple manner, consisting of plywood, mesh, fishing line and sod. You can consider the Grass Wheel to be somehow a protest against the lack of green spaces from all over the world.

Maybe the green is not always greener on the other side, but it sure is in this wheel. Not only it provides a very comfortable eco-transportation, but it also comes as very powerful statement for all of those people who are into the green movement. This is a hamster wheel aimed at people and it’s entirely covered with grass on the inside surface. It will make you feel like having the time of your life on the lawn of your dreams.

Here in my country, being all green from head to toes is something like a revolutionary attitude that makes everyone feel like doing a fantastic job when it comes to taking care of the environment. It’s a sound judgment, there’s no doubt about it, but sometimes things are pushed to a very ridiculous limit.

Anyway, this is what happens when “fashion†takes over the green movement. Take this eco-friendly table light for example. It makes you laugh at first, because you don’t know what in earth to do with it. On the other hand, you’re not sure whether this isn’t your son’s homework for the arts and crafts class. It’s a gadget, so that you know, a table light, but you’d love it to be just a bad joke. Unfortunately, it isn’t and you’ll have to deal with it.

More than that, if you’re crazy enough, you’ll have this unusual home décor, called Bagalight, on your table, whenever serving dinner. And when you think that the purpose of the guys over Liquidesign was actually noble. All that they wanted was to create an eco-friendly table light. The bag is part of a series of similar devices, along with a pendant light, and it’s all made of card and paper. There’s a desk lamp version also, if you like.
The Bagalight is available for purchase for £29.99 or approximately $43 from MyDeco.

When Ikea was first brought here in my country, people were a little bit skeptical, because it was one more store stuffed with all sorts of things that was going to make them crazy. We all thought it was just another expensive product retailer, affordable only for those with impressive bank accounts.
But we were proved wrong, as Ikea does precisely the opposite, fighting somehow against the discrimination that companies from all over the world bring in the spotlight, when introducing common products with hefty prices. And this is how Ikea became the world’s largest furniture manufacturer.

Therefore, for those who are looking for products with a very high quality, but with reasonable prices, here we have a new line of solar powered lights. Aimed at people with a strong environment consciousness, this new line is quite cheap, as not a single item is more expensive than $19.99.
There is a wide variety of these lights, nine models, to be more precise, and only of those nine is meant for indoor usage. So, the indoor light costs $19.99 and is available in a wide range of color versions.

Now, if you’re interested in decorating and lighting up your home with some pretty nice looking solar powered lights, then the new line brought by Ikea is perfect for you. Not to mention the fact that they’re solar powered and, of course, very cheap.

People are very interested these days in adopting the “greenest†attitude possible. They talk about green devices, about the importance of the environment and the consequences of their actions, they encourage each other into becoming responsible human beings and they are permanently looking for more and more ways to help the Planet survive.

And of these ways is for people to begin composting. I know, for people living in the country this is a simple task, because they find no difficulty in setting up a compost pile. They can do this, as they have a yard that allows them to set it up without any restraint. But when it comes to the urban life, things are a little bit different.
<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->
This doesn’t mean that city-people don’t have solutions at their disposal. Take the Terraviva Domestic Composter, an indoor composter with a very stylish silhouette, as you can easily see in the pictures. But how does it work? Well, you can store organic stuff – don’t tell me you don’t know which is it, ‘cause you do: fruit peels, leftovers – inside the composter and then you should plug it in for no more than 20 minutes per day.

The aerobic microorganisms will be used to convert the food into the perfect compost. The maximum processing capacity is of 12 liters or approximately 7 kilograms.
Designed by Ravel Casela, this indoor composter is still in its concept phase, but I’m sure it will be a great success if it ever hits the mass production.

Most of the times the excuses people come up with for being late, for example, are lame. They are aware of the fact that they wouldn’t believe their own words even if they would be begged to, but a man’s got to do what a man’s got to do, right? This means they have to try, no matter the consequences.
Imagine how you would laugh if someone told you that the reason he was late for an important meeting is nothing but the fact that he forgot to pour some water in his alarm clock. It would make you splitting with laughter, wouldn’t it? Or, in the worst case, it would get on your nerves because telling you such nonsense means that he/she thinks you’re fool enough to swallow it.

But you’d better believe it, because the Water Powered Alarm Clock is actually powered by… water, which makes an eco-friendly device perfect for you, if you’re into the green mood these days! This means that you need no electricity or batteries in order to make it work, just water. Pour some water and the alarm clock will wake you up in the morning at the precise hour that you want to be woken up.

But how does this thing work? Well, it seems that the result of the evaporation is a constant amount of energy that is based on an electrochemical reaction that takes place between the electrodes and the water. Therefore, the only thing you have to do is to provide the alarm clock with water every three months. It’s something like a water battery.
The device not only tells you the time, but it also gives you information about temperature and features time and date display. The Water Powered Alarm Clock measures 9.5 x 9.5 x 5.0 centimeters and weighs approximately 0.2 kilograms.
If you’re interested in the device, you can go grab it from Gadgetshop for £19.99.
