When you talk about gadgets you immediately think about all kinds of crazy inventions and innovations that are more or less useful and productive and are usually made by secluded geniuses. Any way you might also think about “Inspector Gadget” – the movie, with all its gadgets that hide behing apparently perfectly normal things, but which turn out to be really powerful weapons that help the Inspector catch the bad guys. The last thing you might think of might be a mouse cartoon character. Well, you’d better think again because Gadget really is a Disney cartoon character.

<p>We all remember the famous Chip’n Dale cartoons series that we simply loved when we were kids. Apparently there was a sort of featuring cartoon called Chip’n Dale Rescue Rangers that was produced by Walt Disney Television Animation between March 1989 and November 1990 and then rerun until 1993. The two famous Disney characters , Chip and Dale are now presented in a new setting, as they thought about starting a business with a detective agency. The two chipmunks are accompanied along their adventures by three new friends: two mice, Gadget Hackwrench and Monteray Jack and Zipper, a fly. The private detectives are presented as very smart little guys who have other animals for clients. They always solve the cases they were hired for, usually ahead of the police because the police most of the times have the wrong suspects or are too busy dealing with such small problems. Their most frequent opponents, who are also the bad guys in the cartoon series, are the cat called fat Cat that seems to run some Mafia-like business and the mad scientist Norton Nimnul.
<p>Gadget Hackwrench , that is better known by the fans as <strong>Gadget Rescue Rangers</strong>, is a young female mouse who knew Chip and dale through her father who is now dead. She joined the detective agency started by the two chipmunks and is responsible for the team’s airplane that helps them move quickly from one place to another. She is a pilot, but also a mechanic and an inventor. She loves inventing very unusual gadgets that are sometimes useful, but sometimes just fall apart exactly when they are needed most. Any way, <strong>Gadget Rescue Rangers</strong> is famous for her ability to select apparently unrelated items that she uses for making all kinds of technological gadgets which she uses in unexpected ways. She is very nice looking and the two friends, Chip and Dale, like her very much, sometimes competing for her attention. She does not show any preference for any of them and just looks friendly.
<p>Even if this cartoon series was not as popular as the original show with the two chipmunks, it was rated on the 60th place in the Top 100 the best Animated TV Shows. That is why Walt Disney Studios decided to release all the episodes of this show on DVD in 2005 and 2006. The sales were not that great as in the case of other cartoon series, but they were reasonable enough, proving that there are still fans who enjoy this kind of cartoons.

Google Talk Gadget is a new of of communicating with your friends and all those having a Google email account. It is somewhat similar to Google Talk Client in that it is also an instant messaging service, but it is more advanced, with more features and offers you8 the possibility to do some other things at the same time.<

First of all, Google Talk Gadget is available for every person that has a Gmail account directly from the email page. It is somehow different from any instant messaging service you have seen so far because you don’t have to download and install anything, you just have to access the Run Google Talk Gadget now button. Another different features of Google Talk Gadget is the fact that you can open more than one conversation with your friends in tabs, not in separate windows. You can also include photo and video previews in the conversation, using YouTube, Picassa or Flickr. This service is more generous than others and offers you the possibility to have group talks. It is certainly more fun to talk to more people at the same time, than having the same conversation in more separate window with each of your group of friends. All you have to do is add one of your friends having a Google email account to your group and start chatting.
You can now use your own blog page or another web page to allow other people have access to Google Talk Gadget by simply adding a single line of code into your page. People following the link will have immediate access to it. You can use one of the 22 languages available to communicate with your friends and you can use a wider range of emoticons for spicing up your conversation.
Even if it is advertised as an improved version of Google Talk Client, this gadget lacks some of the features that you like in the first one. Let’s think about the fact that when you use Google Talk Gadget you can’t transfer files, use the voice mail or the voice calls, new friends that change their status (either online or offline) or notifications for new chats. You do have the possibility to add the offline messages to archive and order them according to your own criteria, as they will not disappear from history.
Google Talk Gadget can be used on all operating system, so you don’t have to worry if you are using Mac OS or Windows or another OS and also can be used by all internet browsers. Apart from computers, either desktop or laptop, this gadget can also be used on your smartphone or blackberry, wherever you have internet access and a Google account. It lets you play games and read emails and chat with your friends at the same time, thanks to the features of this service that is now available for your mobile phone. You can also show your contact what video you are watching or what music you are listening to on the status and they can see that for themselves.
However, this service is still new if compared to other chatting services like Yahoo messenger for example, so it is continuously improving and adding more features. So keep watching it to see its performances.

Some time ago, when toolbars were not very well-known, I was very annoyed by the fact that every time I wanted to search something on a search engine, usually Google, I had to open another page , introduce the URL and then write whatever I wanted to search in the search box. It took me about ten seconds every time I did that and if the process repeated ten times a day it could be really unpleasant. So I was really glad when toolbars were invented and I immediately installed one. Well, the problem is that these days almost all search engines , no matter how small or big, have designed their own toolbars and recommend you to install them every time you use them. They are a bit different from one another in features, speed and personal style.

Dogpile gadget is a toolbar that allows you to search anything you need on the internet web pages. It is the product of the people from Infospace.com and it can be easily downloaded and installed. The size of the file to be downloaded is 393 KB, but this can happen in a few moments considering the download speed available nowadays. Then just install it and enjoy it, as you will certainly find dogpile gadget very useful. It’s most important feature from my point of view is the fact that it runs the search with the help of more than one search engine: Google, Yahoo, Ask Jeeves, About, Overture and Teoma. The guys who produced this toolbar made some investigations and found out that only one search engine can be irrelevant because it only shows certain related links, according to paid advertisements, relevance and other criteria. If you run the same thing on four different search engines you will get very different results, and only a very small percentage of the websites will be found in all four search results. That is why dogpile uses all these search engines to make the search results the best, I mean to help you find exactly what you are looking for.
The name of the toolbar comes from this idea: this one uses the best search engines piled up into one. Electronic devices have invaded our lives and now we are simply addicted to all kinds of gadgets like the mobile phones, smartphones, PDAs, GPS, digital camera and lot of other similar things that are now part of our everyday lives.
