For $199.99 you can but this cell phone with a 2-year contract from Verizon Wireless. At 4.63 x 2.3 x 0.47 inches in dimensions and 4.59 ounces in weight, the HTC Droid started off by impressing us with beautiful and elegant looks. Aside from the marvelous design, the next best thing about the Droid has to be the 3.7 inch display that comes at a native resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. Thanks to the built in accelerometer, the display will automatically change its orientation from normal to landscape mode. Unfortunately, the brightness levels are not that good so reading what is on the screen in broad daylight or under direct sunlight is going to be a difficult process.

Right underneath the display you will spot 4 keys which are touch sensitive: the first one is your average home button, the second one is going to pop-up the menu, the third one is the back key and, last but not least, we have the search option. Underneath these 4 keys you get an optical joystick which is meant to replace the trackball navigator. The left side of the phone is host to the mini USB port plus the volume rocker while the top side is host to the power button and the headphones jack. In order to determine the users to spend more money on the cell phone’s accessories, Verizon has packed only the necessary stuff along with the HTC Droid: the charger, the USB cable and the necessary user manuals.

Another aspect that we highly appreciate about this HTC Droid is that it comes packed with a lot of cool and fun widgets that are going to make phone browsing and using a whole lot easier. For instance, you get the Friend Stream widget that helps you keep in touch with the latest news and updated from Facebook and Twitter and they will all be shown in one single place. The weather widget will show animations right on your home screen and it will keep you updated with the real weather conditions. With a 8 megapixel camera, there is no doubt that the HTC Droid can take excellent pictures and, at times, it could even replace a regular digital camera. If storing the pictures is your main concern, you will be happy to know that the HTC Droid comes with no less that 8 GB of internal memory and using the expansion slot, you can expand the memory with some extra 16 GB. The 1300 mAh lithium ion battery is able to keep the mobile phone turned on for 5.2 hours of conversations but when it comes to moderate use, the HTC Droid will not manage more than 1 day on a full charge.

4G Phones coming in 2010

This soft already exists in a more complex form available for iPhones which allows one to open their car’s AC or heat. Take that Blackerry!

e-Reader from Skiff

The e-Reader launched by Skiff is one of the biggest from the market, with a 11.5 inch screen. It was specially designed for reading newspapers, magazines or pdf documents. The innovation brought by the company is that the new e-Reader is made from a very flexible material. The reader has a 4GB internal memory, USB port but it also supports Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity.

All in all, I am still waiting for a gadget that will provide me food and the exact amount of money so that i can spend it on 150 inch’ screen TVs and flexible e-Readers.

This keyboard slides from underneath the Sony Ericsson Vivaz Pro display which has 3.2 –inch. Other features include: an 8GB microSD card, video capture and a 5.1 megapixel camera. This smartphone comes with great features that enable users to access chat, Twitter, Facebook and e-mail.

Aiptek PocketCinema Z20 is the new pocket video projector from Aiptek and comes with great features: a built-in rechargeable Li-ion battery that allows the device to playback videos for about 120 minutes, record video in HD and 2 GB of storage. The best thing about this new tech gadget is the size, because this video projector is very small – weights just 250 grams.

The gadget comes also with an 8.0 megapixel camera and a microSD card slot. The PocketCinema Z20 is not on the market yet, so we don’t know how much it will cost.

If you are looking for a table computer, but you don’t like the Apple iPad you can try the new iiView Vpad which runs on Windows 7. This tablet computer comes with a 10.2 – inch display, an Intel Atom 1.6 GHz processor and up to 2GB of RAM memory. You can choose between 320 GB storage capacity and 160 GB hard drive and it comes with three 2.o USB ports, a microphone jack and 2-in-1 headphone.

The battery of this table will run for about three hours, but you have the possibility to purchase an optional battery that will give you about 8 hours of usage. The prices of the new iiView Vpad start at $499 for the one with 1 GB RAM memory and 160 GB hard drive and $699 for the one with 2 GB RAM memory and 320 GB hard drive.

MSI launched their new gaming notebook – the MSI GE700. This apple laptop features a 17-inch display and an Intel Core i5 processor. The graphics cars is an ATI Radeon HD5730 with 1GB RAM and the storage capacity is 250 GB, 320 GB or 500 GB. Other features include: WiFi, four USB 2.0 ports, card reader, Bluetooth and microphone port.
