The Coolest Small Town In America

Thursday, June 10th, 2010 |

Some people like living in cities and others living in small towns. i guess it depends on their personality, on what they like and dislike and sometimes on the place where they were born. Usually it’s more likely to stay in a small town if you were born there and to keep living in a big city if you were born there. But this is not necessarily a rule, because many times people who were born in small towns all across America go to the city looking for their lucky star, for a better life, a better job or for a glamorous life in the entertainment business. As you know, not all of them succeed, so after some time they will come back to where they were born and try to deal with what they have.

If you try to compare town life within city life, you will find many advantages and disadvantages on both sides. Life in a small town offers the peace and quiet you need for the best family life and it is the best alternative for those who enjoy spending time with their friends and family. All the people living in towns are like a big family, they all know each other and everything about each other. Most of the times they do not mind it, but if you ever did something wrong, you are doomed forever, as community memory is very much like the elephant’s memory and this will always be remembered for as long as you live there.

On the other hand, pollution is a lot more reduced in towns and you have the advantage of having beautiful scenery, enjoying the wildlife and the nature in all its splendor. When you live in the city, most of the times you have a job in an office building and you are always on the hurry, having dead-lines to meet and tasks to accomplish and having a crazy stressful life. But cities offer more entertainment opportunities – theater, opera, clubs, shopping malls, better schools and hospitals, etc.Like I said, it’s up to every one of us to choose the way of life they want to live.
