When you are a young designer that is about to finish school, the only thing you can think of is how in earth you’ll be finding the most unbelievable idea for your graduation project, one you can amaze people with. Not to mention the fact that you’d like for it to become something like your future visiting card, converting itself in the most important work of art of your portofolio.

That’s precisely what happened when Tommy Chen, a Shanghai-based industrial designer reached the moment when he had to say goodbye to his studies and to prepare something in order to successfully finish the Design School of the Southern Yangtze University. When seeing this designer’s exquisite device, you don’t actually know from the first moment what it represents. You’re confused, right? You don’t know whether it’s something it can be used for a specific purpose or it’s just a piece of decoration.

The point is that Tommy Chen has come up with a unique device that combines a wide variety of functionalities, such as an iPod dock, a mobile phone dock, a CD player and an amplifier. When docking all of these independent components together, the result is the unusual disc shape that you can see in the pictures. The YOGA (because this is the name of this concept) is a device with rounded edges that is suitable to those who have strong personalities, oriented to modernity, being perfect for almost any kind of futuristic décor that one can imagine.

Inspired by the raindrops that are falling to the ground, this is the living proof of the fact that brilliant graduation project ideas are at the tip of your finger when you spare no effort in order to succeed!
