Bartender Robot

Robots are slowly getting integrated into our everyday lives and, soon enough, they could be doing all those boring things for us, while we concentrate on the important things like saving our planet, or finding another Earth-like planet to migrate on, just in case we can’t really stop the global warming phenomenon. One of the latest rabots is willing to help us with beer and other drinks, as it proves to be a good bartender.

While it may not look too human, the smart Asahi robot could sometimes prove to be better than a real bartender. How come? First of all, it knows all the basics. It can open bottles of beer, it can pour pints and best of all, it doesn’t ask you for any money afterwards. On top of that, he may also entertain everyone he’s serving by making interesting remarks, or just by asking things politely.

According to ChannelFlip, finishing the Asahi project took eight engineers over 200 man hours using specialist labs across the globe. The robot isn’t really mobile as it’s only designed to serve beer all day. That’s why it’s weighing in at almost one quarter of a ton. I’m not sure if there will be any commercial version, but, in case it hits the market, I reckon it will be a best seller (guys know why). Here's a clip with Asahi in action:
