Since Christmas gives us the possibility to tell the other how you feel in a sincere manner like no other holiday can do it, we are going to let you in on a new and fun way to tell your friends how important they are in your life. Giftreez is a Facebook application that allows you to send online gifts in a very unique way.  When you first install this application and allow it to post different information on your profile, you have to choose between 6 different Christmas trees that act like your virtual “mailbox”. After doing so, you have to convince as many Facebook friends as you can to add this application on their profile as well. Every friend that chooses their own tree will appear in the “browse tree” tab.



Giftreez lets you check out every tree separately. If you like a tree, click on the first option of the 3 available underneath the tree. That means you have voted for your friend and you receive 1 point. If they vote back, you get an extra 2 point. There is also an option that allows you to send a gift. These gifts are virtual decorations that you click and drag into your friend’s tree. For every gift you make, you will receive 10 points and if your friends send you gifts back, you get another 5 points. What are these points useful for, you ask?

Well, at first, you will start by having a rather small Christmas tree. When you gather 750, click on the tree upgrade option and spend those point to increase the size of your tree to medium. If you are really popular among your friends and you get a minimum 1500 points, Santa will let you upgrade to a giant tree. The bigger the tree is, the more decorations it can hold. Decorations vary from Christmas tree glowing lights to white bows and even teddy bears.  Also, the more points you get, the higher you will be ranked in your network and you can become really popular among your friends. Every time you send someone a gift, you can attach a message which is a special way of telling people how you feel. Forget all those virtual Christmas cards that everybody always uses and try to be original this year.
