Just for the sake of trying something different, we are going to check out some army gadgets to see what is hip, new and somehow strange in the military world. We know that you probably won’t go out there and buy yourself one of these things, but it’s interesting to know how the military can really use a helping hand from the technology developments which are out there. Even if they take dangerous missions in the desert, rain forest or any other place called “the middle of nowhere”, militaries can use a good gadget once in a while because it help making the mission a lot easier.

The first thing that drew our attention is the huge wrist watch developed by Tadiran Communications. In fact, this is the development of new video communication technology which manages to deliver live images directly from a helicopter to a display that measures 3 inches in diagonal and it is strapped to your hand just like a wrist watch. This means that you can keep the ground under surveillance by air, even if you are in the car. This receiver can give generals or soldiers a great view from above to get a better idea of what is going on in the battlefield. The videos transmitted have a 30 frames per second speed. Since the price of this gadget is $50, this gizmo can be afforded by everyone and inside the package you shall find a receiver, a transmitter and a battery.

The next item for today is also one of those
army gadgets that can be attached to wrist for safe keeping and easy carrying but it is built to be a bit more complex than the device described above. The Military Wrist computer is a gadget built especially for the army because it can stand also any extreme environments like desert sand storms or excessive heat or Amazonian jungle tropical rains or dust… you get the point! This is a rugged device is more likely to make it when the going gets tough. It comes with the Linux operating system preinstalled and it has become an easier method for communications when you are basically away from any form of electricity or power but need to send our important information. Even if this little gizmo is designed especially for the military, almost anyone can use it. we are not very sure about the price but who needs this when you have a quiet life going on?

The last gadget on the list may be small, but it certainly can save a lot of lives and even if it is designed for military, paramedics can also use it. I am talking about the Robotic Spyplanes which can do a little more than just spy. These small planes may look like toys, but they can send medical supplies, saliva and blood samples and other bodily matters. These planes are operated using specific remote controls and the whole operations are maneuvered by a person on the ground. How cool is that?

It can be difficult and confusing when trying to write an article about a certain thing, having a certain topic and realizing that means more than one thing. For example when you first see “gadget Gary” it does not mean anything to you at first sight. But if you dig up a bit you will find at least three possible answers to the question “Who on Earth is Gadget Gary?”
<-300×250 Medium Rectangle – center->
The first explanation is for those who love computer games, especially the ones about mechanics , cars and repair shops. This game is actually called “Gadget Gary : Building cars” and it can be purchased on CD or download some parts from the internet. Gadget Gary is the owner of a junk pile and if you are his friend you can look into the pile and find car parts that you can use to build real cars. After you succeed to finish a car you can paint it and go for a ride and even go in front of a jury to have your car admired and assessed and you can even win some prizes. You can build normal looking cars or you can be creative and invent your own machines that are made up of very different parts you would not think can be combined in order to obtain a moving vehicle. If you are interested in this child game you can visit the following web site.
The second Gadget Gary I found is in fact called Gary the Gadget guy and is a character in the interactive online game or in fact collection of games – Club Penguin. He is the only inventor in this penguin world and is known to always wear a white lab coat. He is also a scientist and invents all kinds of crazy stuff and he is always seen drinking coffee and wearing his twisted glasses. He has his own page dedicated on Wikia and if you want more information about him you can follow the link.
Last, but not least, it’s gary Dell’Abate, a long time producer of the Howard Stern Show that is on air every morning at a New York radio and also writes his usual column “Gadget Gary” in Sound and Vision magazine. He is very much into the latest technology and he just loves all kinds of gadgets and devices and he even said there are at least five gadgets he could not live without.
Sound and Vision magazine is a tech magazine and Gary writes his column monthly here and he describes all kinds of gadgets he tests for the readers. You can find a lot of interesting things about things like your iPhone, ipad or any other gadget and all the features and technical specifications are given in a very personal and pleasant style. The articles are written more from the point of view of an user of that particular gadget than from the point of view of an expert and Gary uses a very clear and simple language that is very explicit and nice at the same time.
I guess you will have to choose the Gadget gary you were looking for and read the few words I wrote about him.

We all learn Maths and Algebra in school and also learn how to do calculations in mind. It is really useful especially when you are shopping and you only have a limited amount of money to spend, so you must do all the calculations and add all the prices of the products you buy in order to make sure you do not exceed the sum you have available. But sometimes we need to know the result of a lot more difficult calculations and we must have a calculator at hand in order to do that.
<-300×250 Medium Rectangle – center->
Usually we all have a calculator at home or at work to help us when we need it, but we can surely use one on the computer because it’s closer and you don’t have to get up and start looking for it everywhere in the house. Of course you have the calculator option in all the versions of Windows, but the only problem is that this kind of calculator is really simple and only has the basic operations. It’s all right when you want to add all your expenses in one week for example or how much you have to pay for a certain stock of merchandise, but it’s totally inefficient when you need more complex operations like trigonometry functions or some other similar complex ones.
Fortunately once the Windows Vista was released and also the windows 7, too, you now have the possibility to install all kinds of desktop gadgets that turn out to be really useful and also nice looking. The Vista calculator gadget is the perfect example. Not only you can find it directly on your desktop, so there is no need for you to open a lot of windows until you reach it, but it also offers a wide variety of simple and complex Math operations. So this gadget transformed a simple calculator into a real scientific tool.
The calculator screen allows you to insert 8 digits, but it can be expanded to 14 digits. You will easily notice the additional buttons for the more complex operations like ln, log, factorial, power of a number, power of 2, power of 3, tan, sin, cos, pi number. You can also calculate the degrees of a circle, but you can access the menu and change the result into radians, too. You can operate the Vista calculator gadget either with the help of the mouse by simply pressing the buttons you want to use or with the help of your computer keyboard by simply using the numberpad keys.
If you are interested in this gadget and you would like to have it on your desktop, too, you simply need to follow these links: www.gadgetforvista.net and www.window7gadgets.net. Download the gadget, install it and you will be able to use it right away.
Any way,I don’t know what you feel about this gadget, if you find it useful or not or if you would like to have it on your desktop, but I simply love it and also all the Vista desktop gadgets. I wish I had a wider desktop so that i could use all the gadgets available.

The Playstation 3 is one of the coolest gifts that one could give to another, as it is one of greatest dreams and wishes that a true gaming passionate has. This gaming gadget was released back in November 2007 in the United States and Japan. The PS3 console comes with very elegant features and it measures 12.8 x 3.8 x 10.8 inches in dimensions and it weights no less than 8.5 pounds.
<-300×250 Medium Rectangle – center->
If you want to know some of the coolest PS3 features, the first one of them is the fact that the Playstation 3 is available in 2 different versions: there is the 20 GB PS3 which is prices at $499 and the 60 GB version which costs $599. Both of these versions come with the coolest PS3 features. Each of them uses a cell processor and the nVidia RSX graphics power. The system memory of both devices is 256 MB XDR. As for the graphics memory, you get 256 MB of DDR3 in each case. I think that the difference between the amounts of storage space is clear in both cases. Both these PS3s come with an included Blu-ray optical drives and 2 USB ports. But the coolest PS3 features are found on the 60 GB Playstation version as this one comes with an included memory stick, Compact Flash and SD while the 20 GB PS3 has no flash memory slots.
Even both of these devices have Ethernet ports and Bluetooth plus Bluetooth controllers, only the 60 GB PS3 has a built in 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi. The 20 GB and the 60 GB versions of the PS3 come with the following resolutions: 1080p, 1080i, 720p, 480p and 480i. They both have HDMI ports and digital optical out. For an extra $25 you can buy the separate remote control for the Blu-ray optical drive which is not included in the package. If you wish to know a bit more about the components that make this PS3 to be one of the coolest consoles on earth than you must know that the cell processor mentioned earlier has a speed of 3.2 GHz which pretty much beat the power of a gaming laptop. An interesting fact is that this processor is a product of hard work and collaboration between Sony, IBM and Toshiba.
Together with this Cell processor, the PS3 offers the nVidia technology to boost the graphics power. The result of hard work is this 550 MHz graphics processing unit that offers a chip based on the GeForce 7800 GTX technology. The PS3 comes with 256 MB of XDR memory and 256 MB of GDDR3 video memory. It is said that the RSX is able to combine these 2 memories and result into 512 Mb of video memory. Since the main reason for buying a PS3 is gaming, let’s check out some popular titles that are currently available for purchase: Resistance: Fall of Man; NBA; Genji: Days of the Blade; Call of Duty; FIFA; The Elder Scrolls; F.E.A.R. and NFS
