Still, before getting to the sunset, you must pass by the sunrise- and if it seems like a pleasure to watch the sun rising to the sky, I’m sure it won’t be a hell of a pleasure during the day to watch it, as it can be very hot.

Coolest Cell Phone

Friday, April 30th, 2010

Even if people are fixed with the idea that the Apple iPhone is the coolest cell phone in the world, there is quite an impressive number of smart phone models that come really close to beating the performance of the iPhone. For example, there are a lot of reasons for which we should consider the HTC Droid as the coolest cell phone.
<-300×250 Medium Rectangle – center->
For $199.99 you can but this cell phone with a 2-year contract from Verizon Wireless. At 4.63 x 2.3 x 0.47 inches in dimensions and 4.59 ounces in weight, the HTC Droid started off by impressing us with beautiful and elegant looks. Aside from the marvelous design, the next best thing about the Droid has to be the 3.7 inch display that comes at a native resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. Thanks to the built in accelerometer, the display will automatically change its orientation from normal to landscape mode. Unfortunately, the brightness levels are not that good so reading what is on the screen in broad daylight or under direct sunlight is going to be a difficult process.

Right underneath the display you will spot 4 keys which are touch sensitive: the first one is your average home button, the second one is going to pop-up the menu, the third one is the back key and, last but not least, we have the search option. Underneath these 4 keys you get an optical joystick which is meant to replace the trackball navigator. The left side of the phone is host to the mini USB port plus the volume rocker while the top side is host to the power button and the headphones jack. In order to determine the users to spend more money on the cell phone’s accessories, Verizon has packed only the necessary stuff along with the HTC Droid: the charger, the USB cable and the necessary user manuals.

Another aspect that we highly appreciate about this HTC Droid is that it comes packed with a lot of cool and fun widgets that are going to make phone browsing and using a whole lot easier. For instance, you get the Friend Stream widget that helps you keep in touch with the latest news and updated from Facebook and Twitter and they will all be shown in one single place. The weather widget will show animations right on your home screen and it will keep you updated with the real weather conditions. With a 8 megapixel camera, there is no doubt that the HTC Droid can take excellent pictures and, at times, it could even replace a regular digital camera. If storing the pictures is your main concern, you will be happy to know that the HTC Droid comes with no less that 8 GB of internal memory and using the expansion slot, you can expand the memory with some extra 16 GB. The 1300 mAh lithium ion battery is able to keep the mobile phone turned on for 5.2 hours of conversations but when it comes to moderate use, the HTC Droid will not manage more than 1 day on a full charge.

Coolest iPod Touch

Friday, April 30th, 2010

If someone asks which the coolest mp3 player is, you answer: the Apple iPod Touch. And if they ask which is the coolest iPod Touch, you simply have to speak about the third generation on Touch iPods which come with 64 GB of included internal memory.
<-300×250 Medium Rectangle – center->
Being the owner of the coolest iPod Touch is not that simple, as you have t pay at least $342 in order to get your hands on one of these audio players. The 8 GB version of this player is going to save you some money as it has a mere $199 price tag but the 32 GB version costs $299 while the 64 GB version can be purchased for around $399. The first thing that you are going to notice about this mp3 player is how much it resembles the iPhone in terms of design. The front side of this player is host to a 3.5 inch display that has a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels. On the left side of the player you can spot the volume control while the top side is host to the hold switch. On the bottom edge of the iPod Touch you will notice the headphones jacks plus the universal docking port and on the front side, right underneath the display, you will see the home button. With 4.3 x 2.4 x 0.33 inches in dimensions, this mp3 player is not very different from the 2nd generation iPod.

Since everyone loves the Apple iPhone because of the super cool features that it offers, people are going to love the 3rd generation iPod Touch for pretty much the same reasons. This is not just an mp3 player so don’t underestimate the power of the Touch. It is also a video playback device, a web browsing gadget, an e-mail reader and it is able to record voice memos, to store contact information, to show you the weather changes, what time it is and it even comes with an included operating system.  I mean, tell me truth, have you ever imagined that you would get a regular mp3 player that can help you read your e-mail messages received on G-mail, Yahoo and even AOL?

When you enter the main menu, the resemblance to the iPhone is even more shocking. If this mp3 player could take pictures and make calls, it would be quite an amazing smart phone. Aside from these 2 main features that are missing, there is not much of a difference between the 3rd generation iPod Touch and other smart phones. There is no doubt that this iPod Touch is the greatest mp3 players in the world. Aside from being able to handle a lot of features and application which are not common to an audio playback device, the player also has a spectacular battery performance that leads you to believe you truly have made the best choice possible. 34 hours of continuous audio playback is enough to satisfy even the most demanding customer and it is going to help pass the time on those long and boring bus trips. Video playback performance, you ask? Well, I think that 8 hours should do the trick!

Coolest Mercedes Benz

Thursday, April 29th, 2010

Having a Mercedes Benz luxury car is a dream almost for everyone. On several cars websites it is stated that the Mercedes Benz is one of the top 5 coolest and most luxurious cars in the world, along with high-luxury companies such as Ferrari, Bugatti or Lamborghini. In fact, these are mostly the world’s best known cars and collectors of fast cars can never decide only on a particular model, so they buy variations of the company in many models for astronomic figures.
<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->
Mercedes-Benz is a German company which manufactures luxury automobiles, buses, coaches and trucks. Mercedes-Benz has its origins in Karl Benz’s creation of the first petrol-powered car, the Benz Patent Motorwagen, built in January 1886. The first vehicles including the Mercedes-Benz brand name were first produced in 1926 and since then, the company has sold hundreds of million of car units in the whole world. Mercedes is also one of the oldest and biggest automobile manufacturers in the world and it is widely known for its performances, good technology, features and glamor interiors. Newer versions of the Mercedes Benz cars are considered as luxury cars and costs vary from a few thousand dollars up to hundreds of thousands for fast, racing models.

The Mercedes Benz car lists includes many models for all tastes and pockets, but some of the best and coolest passanger vehicles are the following: the ones from the B-Class, the highly known C-Class for the sedan (saloon), sports coupe and estate cars, the CL Class which only includes coupes, the E-Class also known for is saloon, coupes, convertible and estate cars, the GL, GLK and M-Class which all sell SUVs and variations of the S class. The S Class models include the S for sedans, SL and SLK for roadsters and the SLS hardtop supercar.
The first E class model was introduced in 1986, followed by the first C Class model in 1993. In 1995 it is given to publicity by the company the Mercedes Benz SL73 AMG with 7.3 and V12 engine, which is the biggest engine ever put in this company’s cars. In 2003 the Mercedes Benz company manufactured a limited production sports car with the McLaren Cars. As a result, some of the coolest, more powerful and expensive racing cars were introduced to the market and since then, still the SLR McLaren is the most known of them all.
Still, if there is such thing as the coolest car in the world, several models from the Mercedes would fit the category, among with the 2010 CL retailed at values between $110,400 and $154,400. The best feature of this car is that it doesn’t sacrifice performance for comfort, as it excels at both.

The GL-Class is for those drivers who carry a lot of passengers with them but who are not willing to sacrifice the luxury driving to fit those needs. From this multitude of models to choose, how can one not fall in love with the company and buy as many models as possible?

Seattle Coolest Neighborhoods

Thursday, April 29th, 2010

Seattle, Washington was not known for its very good inter-racial relationships for centuries and was not a friendly environment if you were anything but white. It was also called “the city of neighborhoods” and was merely established during an economic boom fueled by the timber industry. The cities early years were characterized by chaotic expansion and development with many residential areas as well as poorer neighborhoods. Also, housing covenants became a common practice in the early 1920s, when minorities were effectively limited to the International District; Ballard – Sunset Hills, Beacon Hill, Broadmoor, Green Lake, Laurelhurst, Magnolia, Queen Anne, South Lake City and others more restricted their access to the white race, imposing strict limits of entering in those zones.
<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->
Thank God, this restrictions were abolished in the 1960s and now Seattle is a pretty quiet and cosmopolit city. If you are looking to move in Seattle and you are in search for some good neighborhoods, you might want to consider the following:

Queen Anne is a great place to live if you are looking for a walkable neighborhood and good proximity to downtown. It is also the kind of neighborhood in which you don’t necessarily need a car, so exploring the pedestrian areas is very nice. The top of the hill is probably the most crowded area, as it holds a business area where you can get pretty much everything, from nice and cozy restaurants, to fine grocery stores and plenty of coffee shops.
Also, Capital Hill has good parts and bad parts, with the Broadway area full of restaurants and good shops, the nice new park and the residential areas east of Broadway. Still, the whole area is rather crowd and noisy and it is filled with drug addicts.
Wallingford is situated north of Queen Anne, and it also has some plus points for the multitude of bars, old theaters and the proximity to Greenlake and Gasworks Park which is always a plus. It’s also edgier than Queen Anne and somewhat cooler and nicer. Still, opinions vary.

Downtown, First Heel and Pioneer Square are walkers’ Paradises. You clearly don’t need a car for the sightseeing which is gorgeous, the small shops and the whole coziness of the area which will certainty make you feel far away from the noisy cities, more like in a quiet small town.
Fremont is probably one of the most select and high-priced neighborhoods in Seattle. If you afford paying for an apartment here, you most likely will get the best out of Seattle’s life. It is filled with small but nice public parks like Fremont Peak Park. The Aurora Bridge as well as the statue of Lenin, the Fremont Troll or the Public Library are one of the neighborhood’s attractions, so if you are planning to at least sight-see Seattle, you definitely should pay a visit to this popular area.
