Before all the iPod touch (third generation) hype, considered to be a mobile gaming platform, there was a manufacturer with excellent sales within the portable game console. Many say that the iPod touch is not a true mobile gaming platform and I agree with them. The iPod touch can’t be considered a true competitor for Sony Play Station Portable 3000 Series, or even the new Play Station Portable Go System. Sure, in terms of pricing, you pay more for an iPod touch (second generation) but you get more games for less money with the App Store, while the Play Station Systems are cheaper, with better gaming performances but expensive in time, because of the compatible game prices.
<-300×250 Medium Rectangle – center->
The Sony Play Station Portable 3000 Series sports almost the original design of the first version of the PSP. In terms of high lights this game console, allows you not only to play games, but also to listen to music, watch movies, and access the Internet. An important key feature is the excellent LCD. In terms of design, the Play Station Portable 3000 Series sports a nice Piano Black style including a semi glossy cover (it looks great and keeps away the fingerprints and scratches). Also, you get two status LEDs, the Power LED and the HOLD LED. This improves the quality appearance of this device. Both front side and back side sports the same Piano Black finish, with a nice silver metallic looking frame.

Overall, the PSP 3000 looks extremely nice, offers an excellent design, and even if this is a multimedia console it still includes a conservator look. The build quality is excellent, with no flex or noises when pressed. This device sports a solid build quality without any doubt. In terms of buttons and switches the PSP 3000 sports the directional buttons (mandatory for gaming and menu navigation, up, down, left and right), Power and Hold switch, the Start button, Home button, Select button, Enter keys (such as Square, Triangle, Cross, and Circle), analog stick, right shoulder button and left shoulder button, sound key, volume controls, display key, and the Wi-Fi switch. With a height of 2.9 inches, wide of 6.7 inches, deep of 0.9 inch, the Sony Play Station Portable 3000 Series weights about 189 grams or 0.42 lbs including the battery.

In the battery department Sony included in the PSP 3000 a rechargeable Lithium Ion battery with 1200 mAh, sufficient for over 25 hours of continuous audio playback, or 5 hours of video playback, or 4 to 6 hours of gaming (depending on the game played). However, you should always be prepared to charge your PSP 3000 at the end of the day (in case you are going to use all the features embedded). This battery should provide about 2 hours to 3 hours of autonomy if within an average usage, and even up to 250 hours of standby time.

In terms of connectivity Sony Play Station Portable 3000 Series includes the IEEE wireless communication with the 802.11 b, one mini – B 2.0 USB connection (type B USB connection means computer connection), an infrared port (why not a Bluetooth port is still a mystery) and a memory card slot (compatible with Memory Stick Duo memory cards). You also get the DC in jack and the headset jack. Sony included in the PSP 3000 a 4.3 inches TFT LCD with a 16 to 9 aspect ratio, a resolution of 480 x 272 pixels, capable of rendering 16.7 million colors, with a varying maximum brightness, from 200 / 180 / 130 /80 cd/m2 when plugged in to AC, and 180 / 130 / 80 cd/m2 when using the onboard rechargeable battery. The PSP 3000 also has stereo speakers for a better user experience, with an onboard memory of 64 MB, (expandable value using the memory card slot) and 4 MB DRAM memory.

Sony also completed the package with a CPU running at up to 333 MHz (varying speed starting from 1 MHz to a maximum 333 MHz). Also, the PSP 3000 sports a good security with the 128 bit AES encryption (however this is not the best security, a more recommended value would have been 256 bit encryption) from Magic Gate. The retail package only contains the game console, battery pack, and the mandatory charger. However, this is justifiable since the retail price of Sony Play Station Portable 3000 Series (PSP 98898) is only $169.99. The second portable game console from Sony, Play Station Portable Go System sports a higher price tag, but this is expected since is a newer product in Sony’s portfolio.

Also, besides a new design, the PSP Go System brings several new high lights such as Bluetooth support, and 16 GB onboard memory (plus all the excellent key features from the PSP 3000). Sony advertises the PSP Go System as being an endless Entertainment solution, thanks to the Play Station Store opened 24/7 which is a great competition to the App Store and iTunes store, providing a secure way for you to download games, add-ons, free games, and other multimedia files. Extra points for Sony because is the first manufacturer to successfully deliver an excellent competitor to the Apple’s iTunes store. The advertising campaign for the PSP Go System is rather bold, but excellent for our times, “go versatile, go digital, go anywhere”.

In terms of design, the PSP Go is a slider game console. It’s closed design resemblance the PSP 3000 design. Also it sports the same semi glossy body with either Black Piano or White Piano finish. The build quality is also solid. Therefore, both PSPs not only look great with a conservative yet modern design (the Piano Black finish), but also sport an excellent and solid build quality. Basically, all the keys on the PSP 3000 were included on the PSP Go, but under the sliding display. The connectivity is ensured by the Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11 b, the USB 2.0 port, Bluetooth profile, Memory card slot (compatible with Memory Stick Duo), the DC in jack, and the headset connector.

Sony included in the Play Station Portable Go System a 3.8 inches wide screen TFT LCD with a 16 to 9 aspect rotation with a resolution of 480 x 272 pixels, capable of rendering up to 16.7 million colors. in terms of compatibility, the PSP Go System is a true milestone for Sony since you can use it to access your Play Station 3 over the Wi-Fi connection, and enjoy your full multimedia Library from the Play Station 3. The onboard memory, 16 GB is less then what iPod touch 3rd generation has to offer, 32 GB and 64 GB.

Even so you can expand this value by using a memory card. The built in stereo speaker complete the user experience with excellent audio rendering. In the retail box Sony included beside the PSP Go System and the mandatory charger, the USB cable. The Play Station Portable Go System is offered at $249.99 price tag. As you might have noticed these price tags are very attractive. However, you have to be prepared to spend some money on accessories. For the PSP 3000, Sony offers the PSP headset with Remote for Skype for $29.99, the PSP UMD Case for $14.99, and the PSP Extended Life Battery Kit for $49.99.

The Memory Stick Pro memory cards vary in both capacity and price form the 1 GB value offered for $19.99, to 16 GB for $89.99. Sony also delivers some accessories for the PSP Go System, AC adaptor for $14.99, screen protective film for $9.99, cradle for $29.99, soft carrying case for $14.99, PSP Go component audio and video cable for $29.99 and the traveler case for $19.99. Overall, both PSP 3000 and PSP Go System are great mobile game consoles. However, it is wrong to say that they are cheaper than the iPod touch, because the reality is different.

Even if you chose to buy a PSP 3000 for $169.99, in order to get at least 16 GB (while the cheapest version of iPod touch includes 32 GB) you will still have to pay $89.99 over the basic price tag. Therefore, in the end is not about the price tags, since they are similar, but more about what you prefer to buy and own, a Sony portable multimedia console, or an Apple iPod touch. The choice is yours to make.

Cool Gadget

Apple is yet to announce and release it secret, yet expected iTablet, which will certainly bring many excellent features and will reinvent the device market once again. Until that day comes, you can still find some interesting gadgets, not advertised within their potential. One of these gadgets is none other than the digital reader book.
<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->
Sure, you’ve heard about the Apple audio books and all its features, but what about the reader digital book? Not many people can say they’ve heard or read about theses gadgets, although their on the market for a while now. Unfortunately, since everyone is in a hurry these days, nobody spares time to read about devices with less than extraordinary or ground shacking design and features.

Also, the marketing and advertising of these products make them even less knowable and more anonymous. Sony sports into its portfolio four reader digital books. However, one of them is not yet released, but only announced. The Sony Reader Touch Edition, with the code PRS 600 SC, is an attractive model, for anyone who needs or want a digital reader book. Sony advertises this product as being the solid solution for the “on the go” reading experience. The first interesting feature that came to my attention is the customizable feature, very Apple iPod like, with the option of engraving your personal Reader Touch. In terms of design, this product is pretty attractive. However, I must admit I like more the black and silver finish then the red and silver look, or the all silver case.

The Reader Touch is made out of a plastic body with a nice frame silver finish. There is nothing more to say about the design, since it looks plain and doesn’t really offer something special. However, even if the design is not something spectacular or exquisite, the build quality is solid, and it provides a nice user experience. You get no flex whatsoever, and neither weird noise when pressed to hard (even if the body is made out of plastic). With a height of 6.9 mm, wide of 4.8 inches, deep of 0.4 inches, the PRS 600 SC weights about 10.1 oz including the battery. Regarding the battery department, the Touch Reader sports a built in Lithium Ion battery of 3.7 Volts DC.

The approximate battery life is 7.500 BBeB Book on continuous page turns, or 6.800 ePub continuous page turns. On the front side you get the touch screen which will provide simple access to the various functions of the Touch Reader. Above the touch screen you get the “Sony” logo, while below it you get the turn page buttons (forward, or rewind), and the home button. Also below the display, you get the size button that will help you either zoom in or zoom out, in order to adjust the text size, and the options button, for customizing your Reader menu as you might need it to be.

To the right of the options button you get the volume up and down button (with no other presentation needed). The back side of this device lacks any buttons or ports. However, the bottom side sports enough ports and slots for a good connectivity package. Therefore, you get the headphone jack (mandatory in order to keep your thoughts to yourself), the USB port for an easy and fast connection with your computer, the DC in jack, the reset button (if this device needs a reset button, you shouldn’t expect of a high quality software), hole and hand strap.

The top part of this gadget sports the following ports, slots or buttons, such as holes for cover attachments, the charge indicator, the power switch, the memory stick Duo memory card port, the SD memory card slot, and the stylus, necessary in order to precise operations or drawing. In terms of memory department, you get an onboard memory of 512 MB, with only 380 MB available for usage. However both Memory Stick Pro Duo memory card and SD memory card can bring up to 16 GB memory.

The onboard memory will be sufficient for about 350 books. In case you were wondering Sony has included a 6 inches Vizplex screen with a maximum resolution of 800 x 600 pixels, sporting an 8 levels gray scale. This display offers a high contrast ratio, making the whole read experience really nice even in direct sunlight. The user interface is rather intuitive and it doesn’t need too many manuals for you to read. Even better, with the touch screen navigation everything feels in the right place. The home menu contains a default look. However, just use the advanced settings to customize the menu look. You get several pre installed functions, such as continue reading, books, all notes, collections (your collection created by the eBook Library), more, handwriting, text memo, audio, pictures, and settings.

Although, this device sports a reset button you shouldn’t have any problems with the user interface, since everything runs smoothly and without any glitches. Sony successfully created an easy to use Touch Reader thanks to the hardware specifications. Easily transfer Adobe DRM protected files, PDFs, PRS DRM protected, files, images (with the following formats supported, JPEG, MBP, PNG and GIF), MP3 audio files, or AAC audio files, and Microsoft Word documents, by just using the fast USB connection. However, in order to successfully create a connection between the Touch Reader and your computer, several conditions must be sustained.

Therefore, your computer must run Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium, or Basic, or Business, or Ultimate either 32 bit or 64 bit with the Service Pack 1 upgrade, or late. Also your computer could sport the Windows XP Home Edition, or Professional Edition, or Media Center Edition (2004 and 2005), the 32 bit version, with the Service Pack 2 or later upgrades; if you are a Mac user then your computer, or laptop, must run with either Mac OS X 10.4.11 (or later) or Mac OS X 10.5.6 (or later). The minimum processor your computer must have is an 800 MHz Celeron, or the G3, G4, or G5 processor for Mac. Also, you computer must have 128 MB of RAM memory (and for the Vista operating system at least 512 MB).

Sony included in the shipping box beside the actual Touch Reader, the USB cable, sleeve and quick start. Overall, this device sports a decent design with an excellent build quality. Also, it is easy to use thanks to the touch screen navigation, and the 6 inches display provides sufficient brightness for you to read your favorite books within any light environment conditions. However, everything holds a drawback.

The PRS 600 SC sports a significant drawback, its price tag of $299.99. However, if you are interested in purchasing a digital reader book, you might want to hold your buy a few more weeks, because the price drop will start happening when Christmas will only be a couple of weeks away.

Cheap Electronic Gadget

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

The last article was about two 7 inches diagonal digital photo frames, different in style, in features and in price. Although these two frames are only a few of the full range of 7 inches and 8 inches digital photo frames, today I am going to present you one two 9 inches diagonal digital photo frames. how I said yesterday, these frames can easily be considered an excellent present for the upcoming Christmas, not very expensive yet not cheap, modern, nice looking devices, easy to blend in with any decoration style.
<-300×250 Medium Rectangle – center->
The first 9 inches digital photo frames is a new product in Sony’s portfolio, with the unique model number, DPF D92/B. besides its gorgeous design, it sports a few key features such as 15 to 9 aspect ratio LCD, onboard memory that should prove itself worthy of holding up to 2000 photos, included memory card slot, remote control, two special modes for a better usability including calendar and clock mode, auto image rotation (for using this digital photo frame in both landscape and portrait mode), and the USB connection. In terms of design, you should be surprised (in a good way since this is not a laptop lid or a front phone’s case) with the front panel sporting a glossy (yet not scratches and fingerprints magnet) black finish to complement the displays cover. The back cover sports a nice matte black plastic which not only looks but also feels nice.

The frame sports a solid build, not only an exquisite design. This digital photo frame easily blends in with either classic style or modern decoration, making it a perfect Christmas gift. Its dimensions are remarkable in every way, while its weight is considered to be more a 7 inches frame weights rather than a 9 inches digital photo frame. With a height of 189 mm, wide of 276 mm, with a varying deepness from plain – 39.5 mm to the deepness that includes the stand – 144.1 mm, this Sony digital photo frame weights about 810 grams. The back of this frame includes one action button, which will turn on or off the backlit Sony logo.

The rest of the functions can be easily set using the remote control, functions such as fit to screen mode, or full image mode, rotate image either manual or automatic, delete photo, zoom in, and zoom out. In terms of connectivity you get the Type A for DPPA BT1 and USB mass storage class device, and Type B for computer connection and also networking capabilities with the inbuilt Bluetooth receiver and transmitter.

The maximum power consumption of this digital photo frame is rather acceptable with 11.6 Watts (the highest value ever reached). A great feature of this frame is the onboard memory of about 1 GB. However, the true value memory for photo storage is situated around the 900 MB value.

You can easily store about 2000 photos within this memory value, depending on the resolution and capacity. However in case this value is not sufficient enough just feel free to use any possible available memory cards on the market, such as mini SD memory card, micro SD memory card, SDHC memory card, mini SDHC memory card, MMC, RS – MMC, Compact Flash Type II, XD Picture card with all available formats, Memory Stick memory card, Memory Stick PRO Duo memory card, Memory Stick Micro M2, and many other more (incredible how compatible this frames is with so many types of memory cards).

In case you were wondering the transfer of photos between the memory cards and the inbuilt memory is available not only from memory card to onboard memory, but also from embedded memory to memory card. Sony included into this frame an LCP display (Clear Photo LCD) 9 inches with 186.8 mm x 112.08 mm, with a 15 to 9 aspect ratio, and a WVGA resolution (of 800 x 480 pixels). The files accepted by this screen are in either JPEG format and in RAW format but none of them have to go over the 48 megapixels limit.

You can easily chose what you want this display to show, either a still image playback, or a slideshow playback, slideshow with interval settings, and clock and calendar playback (up to 14 different designs). In terms of connectivity, this digital photo frame is compatible with computers with Microsoft Windows Vista Service Pack 1 operating system, Windows XP Service Pack 3, Windows Professional Service Pack 4, Mac Leopard or Snow Leopard. Sony included in the retail box beside the actual frame, a manual, “read this first” document, warranty card, stand, AC adaptor and a remote control (with several functions such as power, enter, menu, up, down, standby, left, right, view mode, back and alarm).

Therefore, the DPF D92/B offers a complete package in terms of features, and ships with a good retail package for only $169.99 (which is considered a good price for a new product). The second product on this article is another 9 inches digital photo frame, which is not exactly the latest available product on the market. In terms of design, the DPF V900/W looks better in black than in white. Even more this product has almost the same design line as DPF D92/B. I doubt that many people will ever know the difference between these two products. But then again, don’t fix what is not broken, right?

Just like the previous model, the DPF V900/W includes several worth mentioning highlights such as 15 to 9 aspect ratio, about 512 MB embedded memory (which means almost 1000 photos memory depending on the format and capacity), auto image correction, auto image rotation, Bluetooth enabled, and HDMI port. Beside the excellent key features you also get a stylish design easy to blend in (the black color only). Therefore, this frame sports a nice glossy black or white finish on the front side complementing the excellent included LCD display. The build quality is flawless, and it will satisfy every potential buyer.

With a height of 162 mm, wide of 245 mm, and a varying deep value from 38.5 mm to 145 mm (when including the stand), this digital photo frame weight about 800 grams. The onboard memory reaches 512 MB, with only 400 MB memory available for photo storage. Therefore, I must advice you to use any kind of memory card you already own since this Sony device is compatible with almost every memory card found on the market, such as xD picture card, xD picture card Type M, xD picture card Type H, MMC memory card, SDHC card, mini SDHC memory card, micro SDHC memory card, Memory Stick memory card, Memory Stick PRO Duo memory card, Memory Stick PRO HG Duo memory card, SD memory card, mini SD memory card, micro SD memory card and many other more. In terms of consumption the maximum power consumption ever recorded is 12 Watts, while the average value is 8.5 Watts.

This digital photo frame has several action buttons such as power on and off, up and down arrows, enter, menu, and even switch off and on backlit Sony logo. Therefore, by using these functions you get to adjust without the remote several settings, such as zoom in and zoom out, image display settings, delete photo, rotate image auto or manual, and other basic functions. Sony included in this frame a 9 inches diagonal LCD (Clear Photo LCD) with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels (198 mm x 112 mm) with an aspect ratio of 15 to 9. This display offers vibrant colors, and excellent photo rendition.

However, keep it away from direct sun light since it doesn’t delivers almost anything under the sun light (washed colors). This shouldn’t be considered a drawback since the photo frames are designed to be used indoors, and under artificial lights only. This LCD display can render only JPEG photos, BMP images, or TIFF photos (which don’t overpass the limit of 48 megapixels). The connectivity is ensured by the same USB connection found on DPF D92/B, Bluetooth capability, and HDMI port (to connect with compatible LCD TV’s such as Bravia).

Sony really made a bad mistake when it decided to lack every cable and adapter from the retail box of this digital photo frame. However you do get the remote control unit with several functions such as power, left, right, up and down arrows, menu, cancel, and enter. Overall, the DPF V900/W is a good product with a nice design and good features. However, with the bad containing retail box and the expensive price tag of $199.99, you should either look for other digital photo frames or wait until Sony will offer for this product a discount.

Must Have Gadgets

We all know Apple MacBooks are great products even if they’re not the most accessible ones. Once you have both a MacBook you are surely going to carry it around you every once in a while. So, how do you protect your investment? In order for your MacBook to be safe you should buy it a case for maximum protection. Now comes the tricky part, what kind of case? There is a large variety of cases for the 13″ MacBook on the market.
<-300×250 Medium Rectangle – center->

You can choose from real plastic case, recycled plastic case, silicone case or even wood case. But what you need to remind yourself is that you are looking for a good protective case. Therefore the list of possible cases diminishes. You are now looking for a incase model. So what models do we have here? Well, there is the hard shell case, the nylon sleeve, the uniform experiment sleeve, the neoprene sleeve for the 13″ Macbook Pro.

For the 15″ and 17″ Macbook Pro we found beside the neoprene sleeve, nylon sleeve and the hard shell case a Hunter Gatherer sleeve (it looks like wood but it is not) and for the 17″ model a special Tech Brief. You can also choose if you would like for all MacBooks backpack, compact backpack, sling backpack or sling pack.  The 13″ MacBook incases start from $34.95 for the neoprene sleeve and go up to $83.95 for the uniform experiment sleeve. The 15″ MacBook model incases start from the same $34.95 for the neoprene sleeve and go up to $59.95 for both nylon and Hunter Gatherer sleeve.

For the special nylon Tech Brief for the 17″ MacBook Pro you will pay up to $79.95. So what’s the most affordable yet protective incase for the 13″ MacBook Pro? The answer is the 13″ Neoprene Sleeve. This product will offer not only protection but also a stylish feature to your 13″ aluminum MacBook Pro. Neoprene or polychloroprene is a family of synthetic rubbers that are produced by polymerization of chloroprene. It is not only used for protective cases for laptops but also in wetsuits, orthopedic braces, electrical insulation, liquid and sheet applied elastomeric membranes and care fan belts.

Only recently the neoprene has become a favorite material for lifestyle and other home accessories including laptop sleeves, iPod holders, remote controls and many other products. Therefore the neoprene exterior of this sleeve keeps away scratches and the minor accidents from both the sleeve and your 13″ aluminum MacBook Pro. Some of the special features for this case are: complete MacBook protection, form fitting neoprene construction with a simple yet stylish design. The interior dimensions are as closest you can get to your MacBook dimension. It has a height of 32.46 cm; wide of 22.66 cm and deep of 2.74 cm this in case is almost weightless.

The neoprene sleeve will fit very nicely and yet not tight. It also sports a reverse installed zipper with double sliders. The case is solid and will completely protect your MacBook. The interior is amazingly soft, and the material is thick and provides plenty of padding. You can also combine the neoprene sleeve with a backpack. Slip your MacBook Pro in the neoprene sleeve and then put it into a backpack. Doing this wherever you go you don’t have to think about dirt, zippers or scratches. This combination is very functional when traveling. It’s a must have for students or professionals who use their MacBooks every day.

Apple provides the following features for this product: complete notebook protection, carry as a standalone or place inside your favorite bag, form fitting neoprene construction, 3 mm cushioned interior, performed trim details, heavy duty custom YKK zipper pulls with closed seam construction and custom fit for 13″ MacBook. So for a complete package you should buy beside the in case 13″ neoprene MacBook sleeve, the in case nylon compact backpack.

This backpack is really light and it helps you keep well protected your notebook. Is the perfect partner if you live your life on the go. This backpack is very durable with reinforced notebook compartment for both 13″ McBook Pro and 15″ MacBook Pro. It also sports a iPod pocket with headphones port. This is a great bag for any student or outgoing people. It also has a soft case for glasses of your iPhone. Aesthetically this bag is tight to your back, strap is secure and is even very comfortable. It is really great to throw on when you need to get out in the hurry.

The dimensions of this back pack are great. It has a height of 45.72 cm wide of 30.48 cm and deep of 15.24 cm. Apple provides the following features for this product: durable weather resistant nylon construction, secure notebook compartment, primary zipper compartment for ample storage, variable sized interior mesh and also small pockets for a better organization, padded shoulder straps and back panel with breathable mesh, reinforced nylon top loading handle.

Overall if you are interested in securing you MacBook Pro for daily carrying usage then you should buy the in case 13″ neoprene sleeve for MacBook Pro. If you are an outgoing person or you leave in an excessively big city and you use the public transportation services then you should consider double securing your McBook Pro and other small devices like iPods. To do so buy a sleeve and a backpack with enough secure zipper compartments.

AlterG M300 Release – Cool Fitness Gadget

Monday, October 26th, 2009

AlterG, the producer company of Anti-Gravity Treadmill, the revolutionary technology for athletic training and rehabilitation launched today the AlterG M300 product. M300 uses the same anti-gravity technology developed at NASA, which can be found in the P200 series too, but at a third of the price and packed in a new design. M300 brings the revolutionary technology closer to millions of people who are trying to rehabilitate more easily from surgery or injury or they just want to train smarter. The best thing about this product is that the efficiency/price is very good. This new product is basically an improved P200, and main differences are that M300 is optimized in form, function and price for therapy in clinics, trainings and fitness facilities.
<-300×250 Medium Rectangle – center->
“Our AlterG P200 can bear the weight of pro football players, move at the speed of Olympic runners and accommodate the specific requirements of world-class teams and athletes” said Lars Barfood, the CEO of AlterG. “The new M300 is designed to take all the benefits of our existing anti-gravity treadmill and make it more affordable and manageable for physical therapy clinics, fitness and training facilities and individuals. AlterG removes the obstacles associated with training and physical rehabilitation – impact on the body and the pain and difficulty of recovery – and helps even more people achieve their training and rehab goals.

This recovery machine is great both for weekend warriors recovering from surgery and for hardcore athletes training through an injury. This product allows people to run and walk at a fraction of their body weight, it applies a precise and a comfortable force to lift the body, and people can move naturally and pain free. Reducing body weight lowers the impact on joints and muscles to provide a smooth recovery from injury or from surgery. AlterG M300 is also good for improving training and performance.

AlterG is easy to use, and it has simple differences from a traditional treadmill. First of all, the user steps onto the treadmill, raises the enclosure and zips into the chamber. The controls are pretty the same with traditional treadmills’ controls, beginning with the body weight measuring tool and with the pressure measuring tool. The body weight can be modified and actually reduced up to 60%, and the pressure on joints is much better and allows people to train better.

The speed and the incline also can be modified, and this also modifies the intensity of the exercise. In addition to the standard features, you will get support from the inflated air chamber. This way, the exercise will be more effective, and you body will recover faster.Originally, this product has been designed for athletes and professional sports teams, but nowadays anyone can benefit from this revolutionary product. So anyone looking to train or to smart rehab should get a M300. The company is working on improving the quality/price ratio, but taking into account that the technology used in this product is quite new, you should understand the price tag.

AlterG is pre-selling the M300 model, and the product will be shipped starting with November 2009. The product begins at $24,500 and here are some information about model’s varieties.

With the AlterG Anti-Gravity Treadmill you get all the gain, without the pain. AlterG optimizes rehab and training by minimizing the impact of running and walking on a person’s body.

For athletes – training is injury free and rehab is faster

For patients with lower body injury – faster recovery and smoother return to full functionality

For patients with neurological disorders – helps to maintain, and even regain, functionality and mobility

For weight loss – motivates users by simulating weight loss, protects joints from stress

AlterG has been reinventing rehabilitation and athletic training with its NASA developed, anti-gravity technology since 2005. Alberto Salazar, famed marathon runner and director of the Nike Oregon Project, was instrumental in working with AlterG to provide feedback on the prototype. His athletes began testing AlterG prototypes in 2006. Additional early testers include the Golden State Warriors and Oakland Raider franchises. In 2007, AlterG went to market with the first commercially available Anti-Gravity Treadmill.
