Game Time Schedule Watch for sports fanatics

Monday, June 29th, 2009

I know what a sports fanatic means, because I’ve had not one, but four in my family, from my parents to my grandfather and my little brother. Being surrounded by people who love sports very much, I had no other option but to love it myself. The bad thing is that we made no discrimination. We loved and still love all sports: from cycling to tennis, football or from target shooting to figure skating.

A very useful device for those times when we had to schedule our social activities depending on the game times of our favorite game teams or sportsmen would have been the Game Time Schedule Watch. And I agree with the fact that it is a must have for the sports fanatics.

These watches are already programmed with the schedule of the team you like most. It’s just that you will have to settle with NFL football, NHL hockey, NBA basketball, Nascar racing or MLB baseball. However, wearing this watch means that you’ll have the information you need at your disposal, such as the upcoming games, the locations and the start times.

Not to mention the fact that there’s a melody that you’ll be hearing before each game, to remind you about the game that is about to start. Another important feature is that you’ll be able to update the Schedule Watch using the Internet, for each season. There’s a USB connector that will help you do this.

You can find these watches on Amazon with prices from $64.99 to $114.99.

OCZ Sabre isn’t a standard gaming keboard

Friday, June 26th, 2009

If you have a good memory, then you probably know by now the fact that there was a very expensive keyboard that showed its face sometime in the past, having a price that was way over anyone’s imagination and willigness to pay. It was the Art Lebedev’s OLED keyboard, a peripheral that regular people do not afford.

But, if you liked that keyboard, which wasn’t a standard gaming keyboard, then there’s no doubt about the fact that you will be happy to know that there’s a similar keyboard that has just appeared in the spotlight, being similar to the Art Lebedev device.

The main difference between the two keyboards is the price. Another one is represented by the list of features, which, in this case, if less impressive. The numeric keys are the only ones to come with the OLED capability. The rest of the keys, on the other hand, are not designed to display color.

In order to compensate this lacks, OCZ has come up with something else: a layered shortcut system, which is quite clever, and a blue LED sidelighting. Besides these features, there aren’t many features available at the moment. However, we know for sure that the Sabre will be “affordable”. Or at least this is what OCZ said. Let’s just hope that “affordable” isn’t a price that is cheaper than Optimus’s price, which is $1600. Because any price is cheaper, even $1000, which doesn’t make it… well… affordable.

Music in the bathroom

Thursday, June 25th, 2009

If there’s an idea that I’d be happy to borrow and use on a regular basis, coming as a result of the technological development, then the idea would undoubtedly be related to the possibility that idea would give me to listen to my favorite music whenever I want, wherever I want.

And what better place one can choose than the bathroom, when relaxing after a hard working day in a bubble bath? It’s just that bringing music-centric devices somewhere near the water is not the best idea ever, unless you’re addicted to dangerous situations.

Nevertheless, this wireless device might be perfect for you, if you want to listen to your iPod tunes. The Wireless Bathroom Speaker is a stylish gadget that was designed to protect the music player from the danger called water.

“The wireless speaker works with a smaller transmitter that can be left in another room with your iPod or MP3 player connected via a standard 3.5mm jack. Just push play and your favorite tunes will be pumped out in the bathroom! A built-in wall bracket and a back stand make setting up the wireless speaker easy and its smart design and discreet size ensure it looks good in any bathroom.”

The device is equipped with FM radio and an LCD clock. It runs on 4x AAA batteries that are being used for the main unit, while other 3x AAA batteries are used for the transmitter. As usual, the batteries are not included in the package. There’s also a AG-13 cell battery which comes in the box. The Wireless Bathroom Speaker is available at Gizoo.co.uk for a price of £24.95.

Define ergonomics when it comes to gaming controllers

Wednesday, June 24th, 2009

I have to admit that up until the moment I started to have some problems with my hands I have never thought about ergonomics very much, as I was much more interested in the past in style and design. My hands are not as healthy as I would want them to be, but I believe it’s not too late, so I could try to change things a little bit.

Companies like SmartFish have always taken care of people who show a real interest in such products, focusing their attention on the ergonomic peripherals. And it seems that the company I mentioned earlier is now interested in another area, the market of PC gaming accessories. The Pro Motion game controller is the living proof of the fact that the guys over SmartFish are really keen on extending their horizons.

The device is supposed to help the user not to put his/her hand to the worst tortures. And if you wonder how in earth is able to do this then you should know that it monitors the way the user hold the controller. The robotic technology the controller is based on is able to track the usage pattern of the user and it automatically readjusts with vertical and horizontal rotations of the wrist.

The Pro Motion comes with a warranty for five years, being compatible with a Mac or a PC, whatever you might own. Unfortunately, we don’t know how much it costs.

Oreck Halo Vacuum Cleaner heals the fear of germs

Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009

A vacuum cleaner is supposed to do what most people, me included, know: it cleans up your house when it’s all dusty. But, as far as I know, it doesn’t fight against germs or any other little creatures that we should not neglect, as they are able to mess with our health. Maybe we are not aware of the bad impact the germs can have on our lives on long term, but when children, for example, appear, we become more careful, and it’s understandable.

The new vacuum cleaner from Oreck, named Oreck Halo, is based on UV-C light that is able to help you eliminate the fear of germs as it kills them all from the floors. All you have to do is to just vacuum.

<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->

The Oreck Halo manages to revolutionize the technology known by now used in vacuum cleaners, being a mixture between an impressive suction that does dirt and debris in, and the light chamber of the vacuum cleaner that exterminates the unwanted creatures, such as bacteria, germs, viruses, mold, dust mite eggs and flea eggs.

The vacuum cleaner from Oreck will help you say goodbye to the germs, on one hand, and to your fear of germs, on the other hand. For a price of $599.95. And it’s up to you to decide whether it’s a hefty price or not.
